On NF forums, a hardcore Itachi fan named Nikushimi created this topic. Pretty amusing and please read.

My gut feelings usually turn out to be eery premonitions of the future, so I feel like this one deserves a thread.

Now a lot of people are psyched that Itachi and Sasuke met at the end of this chapter. Everyone is wondering what will come of this meeting- a battle, TnJ, a hug, hard wincest yaoi, or whatever else -but I have this ominous feeling that Kishi could be screwing with us big time.

What do I mean? Well, imagine if the Uchiha Bros. pass each other next chapter and Sasuke is just like "I must be seeing things." And then they keep moving on their seperate ways, without even saying a word to eachother.

This would be super weak and a tremendous waste of potential, but sadly it totally seems like something Kishi would do. What do you guys think? I'd be pretty disappointed myself; I want AT LEAST a sustained conversation between them.

I honestly think there will be a "TNJ" but it will be far from obvious, we will still see Naruto and Sasuke fight, and at the end of it all, some plan hatched by itachi will be executed by Sasuke that will do something to not only clean the clans name, but enable Naruto to bring down Tobi...but..like I said, it won't be:

He pulled it earlier when Naruto was looking for Sasuke and they just passed each other. I wouldn't be surprised.

As for them meeting face to face, I would want Itachi to kick Sasuke's ass. Unfortunately, that won't happen.

What if this really happens?

Then when Naruto and Sasuke are fighting, Kabuto intervenes and he somehow seals itachi or beats itachi somehow. Naruto would then tell Sasuke that Itachi was reanimated and that he didn't want to talk to Sasuke because he believes he has failed as a brother because of the path Sasuke is following. Sasuke then remembers when he thought he saw Itachi in the forest. Sasuke will then realize his mistakes and starts crying and he wil start reminiscing about his past with Itachi and he will apologize. He would then come to the decision that he doesn't deserve to live anymore, but he still has to cleanse the uchiha name. So with some crazy jutsu, he sacrifices himself to take out Kabuto and they are both destroyed in the jutsu, leaving Naruto to defeat Tobi.

Maybe, but this makes you wonder how Kishimoto would try to redeem Sasuke, assuming he goes that path for Sasuke.

Sasuke having a sudden 180 degree turn.

Nagato had it. I won't be surprised if Sasuke had something similar.

I see a mirror plot of Naruto for Sasuke... who'd thought Naruto would Fight Nagato again? He did and couldn't beat him square although his new Kuubi mode power up...

If Sasuke fights Itachi, he wouldn't be able to Beat him alone either...

seriously, until Juugo and the H2O-Kid come and help or even Kabuto...

Sasuke needs a fight to showcase and stretch his EMS capabilities thats how shonen works for main characters particular.
