NaruSakura or NaruHina, who's side are you on?

OK I know what the title says and for the most part, yeah that's what this thread is about and, to be honest I'm more NaruHina. Now before you go saying oh, but of course you are, your name is Hotarubi Hyuuga. My name is Hotarubi Hyuuga because Hotarubi was my favorite character is basilisk and because my favorite fighting style is the gentle fist and Hotarubi kind of reminds me of a Hyuuga. Anyway moving on.

Now at times even though Sakura may annoy me I like her, I like all of the girls of Naruto and I wish that they'd show them off more, but getting back on topic.

The reason I am for NaruHina is partly because I am for SasuSaku, now I believe that if these were both to happen then everyone would come out happy, but there are some people that argue that Naruto would not come out happy because then he wouldn't get the girl of his dreams, but the way that I see, If NaruSaku happens then you'll end up with two and eventually three broken hearts because from what I can see Sakura's never going to stop loving Sasuke so the only way I can see Naruto and her happening is if Sasuke dies which in this case would break Sakura's heart and then she'd probably settle for Naruto which would then leave Hinata brokenhearted and, then once Naruto realizes that Sakura just settled for him and isn't really truly in love with him, he would be brokenhearted as well.

Now do I think that Naruto should just settle for Hinata, No, but I do think that he should realize that he's had a wonderful person who has been on his side from the beginning who no matter what will be on his side, quietly standing next to him this entire time.

Now a lot of people have argued the fact of rather Sakura thinks of Naruto as a brother or not and, I think she does. Now a lot of people also say that she's constantly thinking of who she would help first if they were dying or something like that. This does not mean that she is in love with both of them and is torn on who to help, in fact this kind of proves that she thinks of Naruto as a brother.

OK just think about if it were you. On one hand you have the guy of your dreams (Girl if your a boy or whatever you're into), the love of you life, you love him more than anything, but then on the other hand you have your brother (Or sister), you really close and, you've been though a lot and you love him (Or her) just as much but one day they both fall out of a boat and they are both drowning, but you have only one life preserver. Which one of them are you going to throw the life preserver? I honestly think that I'd be torn thinking about who I'm going to help first too.

And to add to that when Sakura found out that Hinata loved Naruto she said in her head "Hinata, so you love Naruto," not Hinata so you love Naruto too and in the war when she healed that guy and he said that "he must he really special if you love him," she was thinking about Sasuke, not Naruto.

In the end if Sasuke learns to appreciate Sakura and Naruto learns to appreciate Hinata I think that it'll turn out well for everyone.

But what do you think about it are you for NaruHina or NarutoSaku or are you for SasuSaku why or why not?

Two things that NaruHina and SasuSaku fans forget.

1. Once Naruto sets a goal for himself, he never wavers from it. He stands strong and does whatever it takes to complete that goal. He never gives up! He has never given up on his goal of becoming Hokage, never given up on bringing Sasuke back and has never ever given up on making Sakura his. Meaning that he's going to love Sakura for life, even if it costs his own happiness, he will love her forever!

2. Some fans use this phrase sometimes when debating-they will eventually realize. NO! N.O. NO! Do you really think that Sasuke would even ever start a love a girl when he never loved a girl like that in the first place or more like ever! Sasuke finds all females who like and fawn over him annoying. He called Sakura annoying a couple of times before he left the village. He's too far down the path of darkness. The only thing he cares about is getting revenge. And that's it. He doesn't give a damn about Sakura or Naruto or anyone. And even on the off chance he turns good and returns to the village. He's not going to start liking Sakura. He finds all females annoying except for his mother because its his mom of course. It's not in Sasuke's character to just change like that. So that's why Sasuke will never ever fall for Sakura. It's OOC of Sasuke an Kishi wouldn't do that to his own character. Any good writer knows to keep their character in character.

Another thing now about Hinata. If she doesn't end up with Naruto, its not the end of the world. Yes she will be broken hearted but she will get over, she'll move on with life. Naruto's not going to drop everything and fall in love with Hinata like that. NO! That's not in Naruto's character. It's OOC. And I already said, a good writer wouldn't do that.

Naruto only sees Hinata as a friend. He shows any amount of concern over any of his friends because they are the ones closest to him. But since he loves Sakura, he shows a bit more concern for her than anyone of his other friends.

Sakura sees Naruto as a brother? Just how long has that excuse been used? Let me think. It's overused by now.

Naruto and Sakura have something to which NaruHina and SasuSaku lack. Which is development! It's not about deserving! Love is not about deserving. It's based mainly on development. Naruto and Sakura have been developing a bond ever since Day 1 as a team. They have grown close with the time spent together. Sasuke is out of the picture because he left the village. Hinata is not even a choice considering how little time Naruto and Hinata have spent together. Naruto and Sakura's bond has been developing over the course of the series. Sakura is starting to see now how dark Sasuke has become and that she couldn't possibly love someone like him. She's guilty for loving someone like that. She wants to rid her herself of it and the darkness that surrounds it. She wants now only light in her life and is finally coming to terms with who Naruto is and all he has done for her. She's starting to realize the feelings she holds hidden inside for Naruto as she's trying to shake off any lingering feelings for Sasuke. There are plently of hints for NaruSaku over the course of the story. You just need to look.

What Hinata and Sakura have for Naruto and Sasuke is not real love. It's an infautuation that has been blown way out of proportion. Sakura is at least the one who's trying to grow out of that and shake it off after seeing who Sasuke really is.

Not every story is a happy ending. Maybe its something that no one will suspect. But what do I know? I am not Kishi so I have no idea! I am only speculating. It's up to Kishi what he does with the story. We the fans can only guess for the time being. But if you have seen all the hints and whatnot, and for reasons that I have stated above, that NaruSaku is the closest to being canon at the moment.

Naruto and Hinata... They just are not going to be together I believe, they may look good in pics and fanfics, but let's really look at this. Hinata loves Naruto, but then... Naruto loves Sakura. How could a love blossom between them if it's one sided? That's not how love works. Hinata and Naruto barely know each other and again what kind of relationship would that possibly be? Not really knowing the person you love?

Now I know that Sakura may possibly not love Naruto like he loves her, but they seem like they could happen. For one they know each WELL very well. They have been on the squad for over two years and they each other. And for two, I think Sakura and Naruto are close. She is always turning to him for comfort.

As for Sasuke and Sakura, you should just forget the idea of them being together. I don't believe Sakura loves Sasuke anymore, unless I have missed something in the manga. And I Sasuke definitely doesn't love Sakura if he is trying harm her and the village she lives in. It doesn't matter if he has corrupted mind, you don't harm the person you love. I think the thing between Sakura and Sasuke was Sakura having a really DEEP crush on Sasuke.

Personally I'm a Naruto X Sakura fan. (Look at my sig if you didn't notice! XD). I was at one point a NaruHina fan, but over time I started liking Sakura with Naruto instead. The reason why I choose NaruSaku over NaruHina is that I feel that it for one has a better chance at happening and two is because of Naruto and Sakura themselves.

Naruto and Sakura have been comrades for a LONG time, and well Naruto has basically liked Sakura since the first day they met. Over time Naruto has shown Sakura how much he does care about her. Whether it was saving her from Gaara, or going after Sasuke for her. Even tho he knew she liked Sasuke didn't stop him from doing all this for her. Plus over time she has come to see Naruto fully as he grows into the man he is and from reading the manga, it does seem she has been developing deeper feelings for Naruto. Since the 2 have spent a lot of time together they just have been getting closer and closer with each passing moment to the point where they would protect each other to the fullest extent if needed.

I could go ON and ON but I think I'll just end it there. Lol.

Here's what you are missing bigtime! When that guy she healed said that to her and she thought of Sasuke, was it a happy look on her face? NO! It was a look of guilt. Sakura is feeling guilty for ever having feelings for Sasuke because of what he has become. She's seeing, for the first time, who Sasuke really is.

As for when she was healing Hinata, the same look again. Of course she's going to be surprised about Hinata saying she loves Naruto. But when she fake confessed to Naruto, Sakura's intentions were good. She was trying to shoulder the burden she put on Naruto for the last few years. The way she went about it was wrong, but her intentions were good. As for silently thanking him, she did because she can still dream of the day Team 7 is laughing together again.

The kiba blades, the three tailed turtle, and the six tailed slug and his jinchuuiki where all shown in the anime before the manga in filler episodes so by your definition of if it happened in a filler it didn't happen would mean that none of these things should exist, but since they do that is why I say fillers don't count for the most part.

Well... Let me say it like this: I prefer NaruHina because I think they suit eachother more, and I think they would be the best together, and I ain't gonna bother with how much Naruto might love Sakura or what his possibilities are with Hinata - I just want Hinata to be happy, and if Naruto ends up loving Hinata, he'll be happy too, if they get together that is.

WHEN THAT'S SAID - I'd say currently we don't know Naruto's feelings while he's fighting the war (Even though most would say he loves Sakura, which he somewhat most likely does, we have no written proof of that right now). We might get to know something after the war ends, or just before the war reaches it's climax. Also - This is a Manga, about Ninjas, with superhuman strenghts, super-powers, and such - ANYTHING can happen.
If I had to say what I think, from all the animes and the few mangas I've read, he'd actually end up with Hinata (god knows how... Or in this way - Kishimoto knows how), because she was the first to show up (of the girls), and the first to show the love to him (from the animes I've seen, the protagonist somehow always ended up with the first girl that was shown, or the first girl to show feelings for him), but as I also know, this is a completely unreasonable and stupid way of thinking, and it has absolutely NO sense in it what-so-ever, and even more important: It might not be like that for this manga/anime - So don't bother replying to this.
In the end, all we're doing is cheering on someones love and hoping for the best for that couple - Whether or not there's proof about Naruto liking Sakura, or whether or not there's proof about him like Hinata, or Sakura liking Sasuke, or what-ever, we won't actually know who gonna get together , untill we also get to know the counterparts feelings, and even more, untill we actually get it, black on white, that they're gonna be together.

TL;DR: I like NaruHina only because I think they suit eachother more and such. No actual proof of Naruto still liking Sakura (even though that's most likely true). It's a manga with supernatural stuff, anything may happen. -(Some stupid unreasonable thing about why they might get together, NaruHina. HAS NO REASON WHAT-SO-EVER)-. We'll find out who the couple is when it's written.

This is all my oppinion (the post), because, as i said, all we're doing is cheering on someones love and hoping for their happiness - The only proof of love that actually matters in this, is the proof of two ending up together, all the rest is unreasonable and shouldn't be bothered with, imo...!

In response to all those who keep saying "NaruHina is not goin' to happen" or "NaruSaku is a fact", and for all of you fellow NaruHina fans and people willing to read now it's my turn to scratch the bottom of the barrel in search of proof that NaruHina is also possible along with NaruSaku.. and so I came up with the following points, all of them very well researched and augmented by me.

-Naruto and Hinata follow the same goal: Become stronger and be accepted by everyone. There is mutual understanding between them. Remember the fight Neji vs Hinata, Naruto almost instantly grew admiration for her.

-During the same fight of the Hyuga cousins, Hinata's defeat really shoked Naruto he even took it personally and made a promise of blood -something VERY SERIOUS- remember?

-Hinata is the first person -if not the only one- who Naruto confessed all his acting as a though guy was just facade and revealed his true feelings towards himself, Naruto practically let his guard down for once; you don't do that in front of a person you barely knows unless you trust him/her. And Hinata already knew that, she could see trough Naruto from the beginning, and she loves him for what he is.

-Just before his fight in the tournament of Chuunin selection, Naruto said to Hinata "You know, about you I thought you were a plain looking, dark weirdo... BUT a person like you I REALLY LIKE" and the other candidates -namely Sakura- are completely different from the person Naruto likes.

-We can't forget Naruto's "suspicious/romantic" actions towards Hinata: During Neji vs Hinata he believed in her thought the very end.

-Kishimoto always has depicted Sakura as a best friend for Naruto, never romantic hints between them, just with Hinata.

-From the start of the manga/anime it's been stated Hinata loves Naruto and Sakura loves Sasuke, there hasn't been any evidence contradicting those facts. So don't come here saying "Sakura loves Naruto" because she do not. And is painfully evident Hinata's feelings for Naruto are LOVE not "just admiration" like many NaruSaku's keep saying; if you hate Hinata, fine but don't deny what's evident.

-"But they can't be together, the Hyuuga clan would never allow it" some others say. The Hyuuga are reforming themselves. Neji being trained by his uncle is proof, and Neji is well aware of Hinata's feelings and seems to approve.

I for one think Naruto has deep feelings for Hinata but he's too clumsy to notice it, when they are together his actions are relative to his subconsciousness , he talks honestly and acts sincerely. Just need Naruto realizes, and when that happens NaruHina is a fact.

Overall, I just stated all NaruHina hints. I do also believe that there are plenty of NaruSaku hints too. I think both pairings have their hints/moments and I do also believe that both of the pairings have chances of happening and Kishi just has to decide which is going to happen and which is not. Also, this isn't really a romance manga and the pairings might not happen at all.

Why Kishimoto keeps drawing a Hinata in love with Naruto, after 2 years of time skip Hinata still loves Naruto. If NaruHina has no chances of happening Kishimoto would just let it pass, yet he insist in show us everytime Hinata appears how much she is in love with Naruto.

I for one, disagree. If we saw panels of Naruto thinking about Hinata when she's not there then I would give you the benefit of the doubt. But guess what? He doesn't think of her. Even after she confessed her feelings he didn't have ONE thought revolving around her until they met again. If he mentioned her when Sakura confessed or if he looked at her when they got back from Iron country or SOMETHING, then I could understand why people would think Naruto has subconscious feelings for Hinata.

If I had to say what I think, from all the animes and the few mangas I've read, he'd actually end up with Hinata (god knows how... Or in this way - Kishimoto knows how), because she was the first to show up (of the girls), and the first to show the love to him (from the animes I've seen, the protagonist somehow always ended up with the first girl that was shown, or the first girl to show feelings for him), but as I also know, this is a completely unreasonable and stupid way of thinking, and it has absolutely NO sense in it what-so-ever, and even more important: It might not be like that for this manga/anime - So don't bother replying to this.

Bolded is WRONG! Sakura shows up in chapter 3 and Hinata doesn't appear until the Chunin Exam starts. So Sakura was the first to show up. And even USING the anime Hinata wasn't the first to show up. Sakura was. She did the transformation jutsu first remember? And then Ino showed up. THEN Hinata.

And since Naruto is a Shonen manga, technically he would end up with SAKURA since most shonen have the main character end up with the main female who is Tsundere.

Now if Naruto was a Shojo and called HINATA then Hinata would have a better chance than Sakura.

Why are you bringing up this argument? If you consider any romantic interaction, even when they're one-sided, there are hints for both pairings. If you consider mutual romantic interaction then there are NO HINTS for any pairing in Naruto, at all. It might be a hint that NaruHina can work, or is a positive relationship (yadda, yadda) but not a hint that NaruHina will become canon.

If you want to consider Naruto's: "Sakura you're awesome" as romantic then you must consider Naruto cheering Hinata in her fight, and telling her "the people like you, I really like" as romantic moments from Naruto's side. But they aren't (strictly on that sense).

As for regarding Hinata's speech as "platonic" you could be right in the sense that the speech was 'platonic' but you cannot deny that her feelings for him are romantic. And by that logic, only confessions would be considered romantic.

I'm completely fine if Sakura is "starting" to like Naruto now, but in my case, now, as in now, Sakura only likes Naruto as a teammate. That's all there is too it.

As for Naruto's relationship with Sakura, yes it's a powerful friendship, but there isn't anything that says that couldn't develop into something else.

See, actually, this is an argument of how LITTLE Kishimoto had planned out at the start of his series. That's often the way with comics, you start with a fun character, and before you know it, he's run off someplace else entirely. Even if he did plan out Sakura's romantic involvement, there's no guarantee he would stick with that.

It would be incredibly easy, and not even contradictory, for Kishi to build up a whole new backstory for Naruto's and Hinata's relation, giving all sorts of moments to them in the past. In fact, it would be even easier, because he has the apocyrphal anime fillers to back him up if he wants. He knows NaruHina has a strong fan base. And Kishi's not above easy. Seriously, he's not.

Naruto acknowledges the degree to which she understands by not only saying he felt better because of her, but he also visibly (to the reader) changes his view of her. That's obvious development right there.

It's ambiguous at best in terms of romance. Until we get follow up, if we get follow up, they will stay that way.

Conversely, from Hinata's side, the romance part is already there. In a similar way to NaruSaku, we need positive follow up from Naruto to Hinata's romantic feelings to cement the pairing. Naruto after all, hasn't thought of Hinata romantically so far. I just believe, for the many reasons i've stated, that Naruto can accept her and that Kishimoto is heading for NaruHina as a pairing.

As far as where he could go though, we're on the knife edge. Anything is still possible..

No you have bad memory. Google it if you have to, Sakura showed up first in both mediums. No she is not the first to love him. His parents were :p. And who cares when she fell for him she absolute NOTHING about it until AFTER Naruto already found friends who cared for him. Okay you didn't specify that. Sorry I thought you were one of those NH fans who acts as if Naruto and Hinata have this unique bond just because they have the same goals.

Alright I'll agree about the lack of 'Lee'. But I won't agree that the fight is ALL about defending Hinata. Yes she was a part of it but he mainly wanted to prove a point to Neji.

For the bold: HAHAHAHAH no. The difference between the two is Naruto has been specifically stated to have a crush on Sakura. Naruto has never been said to have a crush on Hinata or shown any hints of ROMANTIC feelings for her(especially by that point Naruto was still going for Sakura).

See, actually, this is an argument of how LITTLE Kishimoto had planned out at the start of his series. That's often the way with comics, you start with a fun character, and before you know it, he's run off someplace else entirely. Even if he did plan out Sakura's romantic involvement, there's no guarantee he would stick with that.

In fact, it would be even easier, because he has the apocyrphal anime fillers to back him up if he wants. He knows NaruHina has a strong fan base. And Kishi's not above easy. Seriously, he's not.

It would be completely contradictory. We JUST got a chapter where it was shown over and over how Naruto doesn't give up on ANYTHING. Suddenly Kishi gives us an 'Oh here's how Naruto gave up on Sakura' arc? And why would he do this so late in the game? Wake up, NaruHina fanbase is only big in America. Elsewhere, NaruSaku is more popular. Even in homeland Japan NaruSaku is waaaaaaaaaaaay more popular than NaruHina(NejiHina is actually the most popular Hinata couple in Japan).

But overall, what author gives a ;);););) about a pairing's fanbase? Need I tell you about Avatar: The Last Airbender? Two characters Zuko and Katara had an EXTREMELY large fanbase(they were called the Zutarians) and their pairing never happened. There was this other show called Daria where there was a strong base for Daria and another character called Trent. Didn't happen. And I'm not going to get into how some creators get annoyed when 'strong' pairing fanbases get a little too loud and in the creator's face.

Sorry mate, i'm hungry so i'm gonna cut this short. Basically i've said that all of these so called "romantic moments" between Naruto and Sakura can be attributed to friendship as well. It's ambiguous at best in terms of romance. Until we get follow up, if we get follow up, they will stay that way.

Oh NaruHina fans and their double standards...how is it that Naruto and Sakura can't have a romantic moment despite Naruto being in love with Sakura and she showing signs of returning his feelings, and yet Naruto and Hinata can despite Naruto showing NO signs of returning Hinata's feelings?

Conversely, from Naruto's side, the romance part is already there. In a similar way to MinaKushi, we need positive follow up from Sakura to Naruto's romantic feelings to cement the pairing.It's a good thing that Sakura has shown signs of falling for Naruto romantically. Mmm not really agree per se. Again Love is love. Think about the widows in life. Or how when start dating someone and find out they had a relationship before you. Maybe it's just personal preference but if you can find equal or even greater happiness with your second love then I can't see a problem.

In a competition being number sucks. In the bathroom being number two REALLY sucks. But in love? No I don't think so.

Except Sakura's actions have shown that Naruto ISN'T number two in her mind. And we're not clear on what Sakura's feelings are. Yeah she may still have lingering feelings for Sasuke, but are they as strong as what she feels for Naruto? I don't think so.

I wish that would happen! Because Naruto is the one who Sakura felt the most comfortable around! They have a great friendship and if it does turn into a romantic relationship(which I believe it will) then it really does look like Sakura would be way happier and more comfortable with Naruto then she would be with Sasuke(not to be insulting though. I do like SasuSaku but only in fanfics and fanart haha).

I can't see that haha. It's been shown over and over that Naruto just doesn't give up or switch feelings like that. He's been pursuing Sakura for the entire manga and unlike with NaruHina or SasuSaku they've been in each other's presence constantly. I can't see him ever truly getting over Sakura if she dies/gets with Sasuke and I feel like Hinata could never replace Sakura in his heart because it has been shown constantly that he has feelings for Sakura and doesn't give up easily.

Er, Sasuke doesn't love Sakura and Naruto doesn't love Hinata...and it looks like Sakura and Naruto have the most natural relationship because they've spent more time together. You see them hanging out at Ichiraku's, on a bench talking, visiting each other's houses(or at least Sakura visited Naruto's. Dunno if the other way around happened yet) and watch each other's back on and off the battlefield.

Also, while Naruto's love for Sakura and Hinata's love for Naruto may be undeniable, I think only Naruto has shown true love. He's willing to put Sakura's happiness above his own as evident by his promise of a lifetime and has made a vow to protect her at all costs.

We haven't seen such declarations from the other three regarding their crushes(or in Sasuke's case...I dunno).

We haven't seen a natural progression with NaruHina OR SasuSaku. SasuSaku had potential in part 1 but ultimately Sasuke's feelings never went beyond friendship. And Naruto and Hinata only interact once every 100 chapters it feels like(doesn't help that Hinata is sometimes just used to forward the plot...).

So yeah I think the opposite.

I've recently seen Koukyoushi Hen: Eureka Seven, the one the protagonist ended with was incredibly far from being Tsundere, and it was a Shonen, so it's not like it HAS to be a Tsundere :p But well... Every manga/anime is different, and we'll see what happens later on, mmm... It's not like Sakura is a complete/real Tsundere anyways, she's slightly different from what you'd call Tsundere, but well... She's violent and short-tempered and that's close enough so far, I guess, lol! :p

Ok, I'm going to say this again concerning NaruSaku.

You don't choose the person you love - us viewers should know this better than anyone. Sakura having feelings for Sasuke even after he followed a darker path is almost a prove of her ‘never-ending love’ for him, and Kishimoto shows this everytime he has the oportunity to. Only a true love would survive this, her crush ended way back pre-Shippuden, and since then it developed to something much deeper. Though being told that Naruto loves her, Sakura, while still caring for him as a friend and team-mate, doesn't reciprocate his feelings. Period. Kishimoto couldn't care less that some people think Naruto would make a better companion than Sasuke.

As for Sasuke dying, I don't think that is going to be likely. Kishimoto cannot keep anyone from Team Seven dead, as he showed with Kakashi. Personally, I feel like Sasuke will spit out a unicorn, cry sparkles, and realize his wrong-doings. Then, him and Naruto will continue their...interesting bromance. I'm not saying Sasuke will go back to Konoha, as much as I'm saying he'll get redemption. I do believe Team Seven will have a happy ending, -whatever- that may be.

I admit, Sasuke's serious attempt to kill Sakura dampened my enthusiasm for the pairing. With Sakura's hesitation on stabbing Sasuke in the back, I'm not worried about her feelings ever changing. If it can survive this, then it will survive indefinitely. Sasuke is the problem child in all of this. He needs a healthy shot of redemption and renewel before he can EVER be plausible pairing material. There needs to be some insight on his thoughts concerning Sakura. I find it curious that the manga stays mostly mute on his end of things. The boy does everything BUT outwardly reject her. He had the PERFECT opportunity to cut his ties with her the night he left, the PERFECT chance to reject her for good and make it clear he will have nothing more to do with her. He doesn't. Instead, Mr. Blunt and Straightforward has to give her HOPE by thanking her and thoughtfully leaving her knocked out body on a bench so no one will step on her!

That and Kishimoto keeps HARPING on that moment...

Also quotting Naruto Databook - "The only one who filled his lonely excistance is Sakura. But he cannot let her in." meaning she wasn't that indifferent to him, as many NaruSaku claim.

The thing I like about Kishi's manga is that he did NOT follow the Shonen cliche by having NaruSaku as the obvious Main Guy x Main Girl pairing (even though being something that most of NaruSaku fans harshly cling to). He did not have Sakura move on from her first love with over 500 chapters into the story. Even though it would have been soooo easy especially considering romance in this story is barely focused on Kishi could have taken the easy route and had Naruto and Sakura truly fall for each other and then just get on with the plot. Instead he makes it more difficult by giving Hinata an epic-genuine-confession to Naruto and then confirming over and over again Sakura loves Sasuke (like chapter 474)

If NaruSaku was the intention why make Hinata's love for Naruto seem like more of a positive moment than Sakura's 'confession'? Why show Sakura's love for Sasuke more prominently than Naruto's feelings for her? Why show that Sakura, even after learning how Naruto feels about her, doesn't reciprocate his feelings? And most importantly why hasn't Sakura fallen for Naruto now that he's reached the epitome of heroic and all things good? NaruSaku supporters can't answer this, all they can say is that Sakura is 'starting' to have feelings for Naruto, as if anything from the manga indicated that, whatsoever. Yes, they have spent quite some time together, but as far as manga goes, there is absolutely nothing that has indicated proximity between the two of them that goes beyond friendship. Nothing. Zero.

People can argue that Sakura cares about Naruto, and visa-versa, and I won't deny that. However, I cannot see Sakura ever truly loving Naruto like she loves Sasuke. I feel like if she settles for Naruto, that's all she's doing; settling. Plus, I feel like Naruto is still stuck in that 'hey-look-a-cute-girl-who-needs-me' thing. Their romance would be that stereotypical thing that most tsundere-containing mangas have.

First of all the fact that you think both pairings (SasuSaku & NaruHina) are canon means that you're just being ignorant. We all know that SasuSaku is almost 0-Sided. Sakura may still love Sasuke but Sasuke will never love anyone. He may have cared for her in the past but that's all gone. Sakura's developing feelings for Naruto. She clearly doesn't love him back but she's willing to sacrifice her own life for him. The possibility of SasuSaku is just like NaruIno or KibaIno, something like that. `|(

When Sakura confessed to Naruto it was only to release him from his pain he's been holding for years. She didn't mean to hurt his feelings. When he told her "I hate people who lie to them selves" That doesn't necessarily mean that he hates Sakura, It just means that he knows that she's lying.

Now NaruHina is 1-Sided, so how can it be canon? Seems you're making up feelings that Naruto clearly doesn't have for her.

Bluemiracle - So again, the glaring fault of SasuSaku, that it cannot happen on its own. It is completely reliant on Naruto to even have a chance at happen, no less having it actually happening. Sasuke on his own didn't, and at this point hasn't, and will likely never show any indication of reciprocation without Naruto's presence and influence. Without Naruto's presence the bond between Sasuke and Sakura has fell apart and pretty much does when he isn't around. Three times has Sakura lost all faith and Sasuke and each time she has had to parasitically cling to Naruto (emotionally speaking) in order to regain that faith again, which in itself is a problem with NS.

I think it's kinda ironic how those who ship NaruHina and SasuSaku keep bringing up that after all this time Sakura is in love with Sasuke when the fact is Sasuke will never even have the possibility of reciprocating Sakura's feelings without Naruto's influence, and even at his best showed apathy towards her romantic pursuits. In other words, Sakura's own feelings are not strong enough and really haven't been strong enough to reach through to him on a romantically intimate level. Secondly, that again without Naruto's influence Sakura would have completely given up on Sasuke. Without Naruto the pair would truly be dead for more reasons than emotionally.

As for NaruHina, Naruto has barely any indication of a passing thought of her confession. Hell, she hasn't been a pervasive thought in his mind after all this time. He hasn't even given indication of a romantic interest in her after all this time. The two times she actually had some importance, people seem to take the bait so to speak and insist that "NaruHina will happen this time, really!" only for her to disappear into the background with nothing really changing. NaruHina's real problem is that its static, and as the story goes on and on that factor becomes one worse and worse as the story becomes ever so closer to its resolution. Hell, whenever she makes a minor appearance it always seems to come back to NaruHina happening and wild theories on how spring out of I have no idea what.

NaruSaku has that problem too of unchanging feelings for one side, but again, that's why I find NH/SS supporters ragging on that particular aspect ironic. A sole NaruHina shipper can rag easily on NaruSaku's aspect of "guilt, grief, pity and lies". NaruHina has an enormous flaw in its stagnancy, but that is also it has an advantage in NOT being fleshed out too in a way.

On the other hand, for one whom ships SasuSaku, including those who ship it alongside NaruHina, it just becomes so abundantly ironic to rag on that aspect. SasuSaku is the bane, and for those who sideship NH/SS, it just hurts the whole argument of how something COULD happen with Naruto and Hinata, when part of the argument includes the flaws of NS and for those flaws why it shouldn't or wouldn't happen when ignoring that SS has all those flaws and more, yet insist it will or likely will happen alongside NaruHina.

SasuSaku; On Sasuke's side we have nothing. He barely has any feelings for her, especially in part 2. In fact, in the "reunion" scene, he only seems to acknowledge Naruto at all. More recently, he tries to kill her twice without any hesitation whatsoever. Sorry, I am just not feeling the love here.

Sakura's side on SS is more interesting, if not just plain CONFUSING. In part one it was some kind of obsession for sure, but in part 2 it's way more murky, and I think I have the reason why. It's Naruto. Like a black hole, his "emotional field" towards Sasuke is huge, and "distort"ing her feelings towards him. Naruto is the catalyst every time when she thinks of Sasuke. He's definitely having an effect.

NaruHina - when it comes to fans getting "trolled", NH takes the cake. I feel sorry for you guys, I really do. For 100s of chapters, Kishi does almost nothing, then 437 comes around. Holy ;);););), it's here! - Yeah. Then....nothing. Nada for another 100 chapters. Naruto doesn't even bother to say a WORD to her after returning to the village. He doesn't again when he returns after the Kage arc. Why is this? I don't think it's because he's being a cold bastard, it's just that Kishi is stringing the NH fans along as long as he can. Sad but true. After all, if he DID confront her, he'd have to address the elephant in the room. And Kishi right now does not want to have a scene featuring an outright rejection from Naruto.

As for Hinata's feelings for Naruto..well. Let's put it this way. If she had her inhibitions removed completely, she'd probably rape him where he stood.

NaruSaku - and here we have the pairing everyone loves to hate. Maybe it's because Sakura has been portrayed so poorly by Kishi, I dunno. But it sits in the doldrums with SS in terms of popularity. It's also the most likely, IMO.

Why do I say that? Because from a 1000ft perspective, it's the pairing with the least barriers. We all know how strongly Naruto feels towards Sakura, but with Sakura...well...

What DOES she think of Naruto, really? We've never gotten a straight answer from her. The fake confession certainly isn't it, but does that mean she has no romantic feelings at all? In my view, she certainly does, but not consciously. One thing about romance is it can be expressed in two ways, verbally and non verbally. And in one case, when she is about to share that meal with Naruto after the Immortals arc, that look she gave to Naruto was VERY telling. People, that's not a look you give to "just a friend". If you're a guy and a girl is giving you looks like that, you know you're doing something right. To add to this, that "hug" she gave Naruto after the Pain battle was...pretty damn intimate looking. Couple that with the Japanese culture this manga originates from, and ...that's too strong for a "platonic" hug, sorry.

There are other moments support NS of course, too many for me to list in this already huge post. Other posts in this very thread cover some of them quite nicely, I think.

The point I'm getting at is, IF KISHI FOLLOWS ANY PAIRING TO FRUITION AT ALL, it'll most likely be NaruSaku, because the barrier, as compared to the other "big 2", is easily surmountable. All it takes is one intense moment between these two, possibly battle related, and that'll suck Sakura into Naruto's event horizon. After that, it's over, we're done.

Mind you, I don't know if they'll truly get together until this Sasuke thing is resolved. Naruto will have to fight Sasuke first.

And let me ask a simple question here. We've had two confessions in this manga so far. One from Sakura to Sasuke, which was outright rejected by him. One from Hinata to Naruto, which was outright ignored.

But what if Naruto confesses to Sakura? How will she react? That's the $20,000 question right?

If his feelings are laid bare right in front of her, what will she do? Sure, she "knows" he loves him, but c'mon here, it means a hell of a lot more if he were to say it in her face.

Also, and I guess I failed to mention this in the last post, there is far more chemistry between these two than with the other pairings, and doggone it, everyone else seems to sense it. Of course our two protagonists don't.

After that katsuyo the slug tells naruto no one is hurt and he then replys "thank god...thank god" expressing his deep concern towards hinatas safety. in my opinion i say that naruto care more about hinata being alright then the entire village. now that he knows hinatas feelings towards him, then am sure he more the likely will start seeing her in a different perspective then he used to see her.

I think sakura to naruto in his mind was just his first shot at love that he thought he didnt wanted to loose because he probbaly wasnt gonna get another chance. since he was always hated by everyone. since he got team with sakura he felt that he finally had someone that would like him and maybe some day love him. but now thats not the case anymore.

sooner or later naruto will see what he was always hoping to fine and thats a girl that will love him no matter what. qoute by hinata to naruto "In my eyes you're a proud failure! When I look at you, I get an intense feeling in my heart. Because you are not perfect… Because you fail… you have the strength to get back up… Because I believe that's what true strength is…" putting it simple hinata will always love naruto for who he was when he used to be a little boy and not the hero that he is now.

kishimoto base alot of naruto on dragonball z which is a shonen jump series. and if i recall the maine character marry a side character. so dont say that, that dont happen on shonen jump animes.

ANYWAYS I WOULD LOVE IF NARUHINA WAS THE COUPLE THAT WILL BE AT THE END.

i also think that if ur a fan of sakura that you should support her love instead of trying to get her a partner. sakura loves sasuke even if he goes evil. while narutos love for sakura is slowly fading do to her fake confession. am sure naruto just lost all respect he had for her as a person. while his view towards hinata as a person keeps on increasing... and sooner or later its gonna turn to love.=) =) =) =)

Lets analyse the facts:

From ep 2 you can already tell the couples: Hinata likes Naruto, Naruto likes Sakura, Sakura likes Sasuke and Sasuke likes revenge. Time passed. Hinata developed deeper fellings for Naruto, as did Sakura for Sasuke, Naruto still has a crush on Sakura (prove me it is love).But then Hinata confessed her love for Naruto, Sakura did the same but Naruto knew she was lying, she still loved Sasuke. Since then Naruto must have been thinking about it. Who will he end up with?

I say Hinata, she loves him and chapter 615 has basicaly scored a thousand points for naruhina. But one thing is right, it dosent matter who Naruto ends up with but he has to kiss the girl. That will finish this discussion once and for all.

1. Kishi is a troll:
He planned NaruSaku from the start and intentionally introduced Hinata and Sasuke as some "true love obstacles", who keep providing misleading infos that we interpret as hints for NaruHina and SasuSaku.
2. Kishi is a genius:
He planned NaruHina and SasuSaku from he start and intentionally feeds us small rations of "true love hints" on those two, while also throwing in personal struggles that make some of us misinterpret friendship and involvement for actual serious love.

I think, that naruto and sakura truly falling in love can go as well for hinata and naruto doing the same thing. for example pretty much anything you say can have it's counter action. and to be honest, I truly believe that if a relationship between naruto and hinata is going to happen, then hinatas confession was the trigger for it to happen.

but my personal pairing is naruhina its just more lovely pairing.

also if u think about it kushina and minato had the same characteristics of what naruto and hinata have just opposite genders. am not using this as and excuse of why naruhina can happen, just pointing it out. a calm personality like hinata and a more hyperactive personality like naruto.
