Some Background: I am, and will forever be, an aspiring writer. Lately, a friend and I text each other Haikus we write periodically. A Haiku, for those who do not know, is a three line poem that follows a structure of 5-7-5; meaning five sylls, seven sylls, and then five sylls again. (Sylls = Syllables). So, today I was sitting in a coffee shop and staring out at the clouds passing by, and before writing a Haiku about it Shikamaru came into my mind.
Now, before sharing my Haiku, I have decided to put forward, to those that would like to take it up, a fun little creative excersie that you can choose to share on here or not.
The Creative Task: Attempt to get into a Naruto character's mindset and write a Haiku based on this character's mindset. Now typically Haikus are about the current happenings in nature around the individual writing, but I think we can expand this to be open ended. So, since we're already assuming a fictional character's identity, we can then go further and expand the Haiku to anything our imagination sees; however, the 5-7-5 structure must remain. (Don't want to make it that easy on ya hahaha!!!) So now I will post my Haiku as an example, and I hope you all have as much fun as I did.
Aloof races float
Soft and free with the wind and
Out to worlds unseen.
