Why hasn't Tsunade taught Sakura to summon yet?

I had to put spoiler on as the prefix in order to submit this post for some reason.

So why hasn't Tsunade taught Sakura to summon yet? I mean Jiraiya taught Naruto to summon toads, Orochimaru taught Sasuke to summon snakes, so why hasn't Tsunade taught Sakura to summon Katsuyu or something. I mean Sakura is Tsunade's pupil. I'm just confused by this.

Tsunade is the slug princess, not Sakura. Sakura likely doesn't have the chakra to do summons like Katsuyu, at least not yet.

Even Naruto needed to use Kyuubi chakra at first to handle summoning Gamabunta.


Shizune can't seem to summon either.

I mean their both medical ninja and Sakura has pretty good chakra control so it wouldn't take her long. Maybe she doesn't have the chakra, but I think it would help Sakura a great deal if she could summon

Of course she does not have a contract with the Slugs or she would have already been summoning the slugs to defeat and defend.

I think it is because Sakura does not have the needed amount of chakra to summon - she may have just enough to summon it but then she would not be able to do anything else.

Well we don't know she can't............we just don't know that she can either. Though it seems that we would have seen it by now.......but you never know, Kishi may just be saving that for a certain moment and Sakura just busts out a slug summon in the nick of time.

I wish someone else could summon Enma the monkey king. He was the coolest summon ever and we only got to see him for one little arch. Such a waist.

Sakura isn't as much of a combatant as Tsunade, she's primarily a field medic and seems to focus on that for the time being, I doubt she has any reason to learn how to summon slugs at the moment.

TBC already answered this. Sakura does not have enough chakra, plain and simple.

I think what he means, is why can't Kishi make Sakura useful and give her something we all thought she would get 100%

Katsuyu seems to be a only a Tsunade "thing". Maybe once she dies, Sakura or Shizune will... "inherit" Katsuyu.
