ok we know that Harishima's implanted dna is unstable to a degree. as we have seen w/ Danzou. it seems like it has been stabilized in Madara, Tobi, Zetsu. we have seen that Kabuto actually has a venom that can paralyze/ neutralize someone that has Harishima's dna.

what happens when Harishima's dna goes beserk and uncontrolled? as we see w/ Danzou it turns into a tree.

we see Naturo destroying W Zetsu clones and them turning into trees. some speculate that is because of senju dna in him others the kyubi still other proof that he is rebron Sot6P. it is really alot simpler than that.

when Naruto first uses his rasenshuriken we find out the wind elem in it makes it into a chakra poison. it destroys the chakra network in its target. so what happens when he hits someone w/ Harishima's dna implanted in them like W Zetsu. it destroy the chakra network thus breaking the control over the 1st's dna. that is why the Zetsu turn into trees.

this is gonna be key. he is the only one besides Kabuto that can neutralize Harishima's dna in someone. what will happen if he hits Tobi or Madara with a wind elem based Rasengan varient? he is definately gonna need help to tag either of them.

I thought we had already clarified that it's because the kyubi chakra naruto is using now does not have the juubi's will attached to it and therefore is the same pure chakra that the SSP used after sealing the juubi away (it was the same sealing technique). Technically the chakra may hold the potential for every nature, naruto's chakra system probably just filters it towards wind affinity, that's why he can use it in RS mode. Besides did you not see yamato's wood element react to naruto's chakra by growing plants and such when he just turned it on for the first time? Besides naruto has used plain ol' rasengans on zetsus and they still turn into trees. It's apparent that it is not a reaction to rasenshuriken.

could be that it is like you said he knows only the wind elem so it default filters to it. so it functions on a level similar to the chakra disrupting ability of his rasengshuriken. it was specifically brought up when he learned it by Kakashi and Tsunade. we have no knowledge of anything else. it was proven fact about his wind elem rasengan though.

But only the rasenshuriken does that, not the wind nature it's self. I don't see the reason for zetsus transforming into trees being a disruption like rasenshuriken, rather more like a reaction to the life energy that is in the chakra. Like wind chakra feeding fire chakra or something.

oooh wait. thanks for the debate it made me think of something. we know that Minato developed the rasengan because of his observations of the jinkuuri bijou bomb. yet he never was able to add his chakra elem to it. we know that Naruto was able to and that is what caused the chakra poison reaction from his rasengshuriken.

we don't know anything of the Sot6P, yet we do know that Naruto's wind elem + rasengan disrupts chakra networks. adding an elem to the rasengan is a step past rasengan and closer to the Bijou Bomb, which is rasengan's ultimate form.

the life energy reason still doesn't account for Danzou's arm reaction to Harishima's dna freaking out when he loses control over it. which is what effect happens to the Zetsu.

so it seems to me the Zetsu reaction is far more closer tied to the Biju Bomb than life energy chakra. i guess we will have to agree to disagree.
