By far the best animated version of the x-men (in my humble opinion) is the 1990s version (the entire series is available on netflix right now btw.) I loved it. It stayed true to that comic book feel and has some of the best lines ever.
This was the cartoon that made me fall in love with Jubilee. She was useless, annoying, and way too loud... but was freaking AWESOME! Normally I hate characters like Jubilee, but she teamed up with Wolvie and Gambit all the time, and srsly that's EXACTLY what i would have done. And not only that but without Iceman there, they more or less made Jubilee most of the comic relief on the show, so she always got the best lines.
Example: In the debut episode when we're first introduced to her she's at the mall playing a game and her powers cause her to blow up the arcade machine. Dude comes over and says, "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH THIS THING COSTS?!" and what does she do? She puts on her shades and goes, "Yeah... a quarter." /awesome
Oh uh... why did you guys like or dislike it?

I just started watching this series on netflix after I finished the nineties animated Spider-Man. So far, it seems to catch the essence of all I liked about the nineties spider-man cartoons although that figures considering they shared the same creative direction. BTW, did you watch the X-Men-Spider-Man crossover episodes? They were pretty good.

I think I know what you're talking about but I don't think i've seen it in years. Also... I hate spiderman. I think Peter Parker should carry a purse, so... that may be a large part of why this sounds foggy to me.
Side note, I feel like the 90s was the hayday for superhero cartoons. The 90s batman was awesome, X-men, awesome, apparently people liked that lame spiderman one  (I admit, I liked the intro, but as soon as it was over i flipped channels.)

It was part of the Neogenic nightmare arc, where Spider-Man was slowly becoming the man-spider. He sought help from Professor Xavier to cure his mutation, but Xavier just told him to accept the fact that he was mutating. Then Spider-Man helps the X-men take down Herbert Landon's mutant genocide project. Rogue flirted with Spider-Man quite a few times in the episodes. xD
Yeah, the 90s Batman was excellent as well. I generally skip the intro when I marathon shows on netflix, but I watched the spider-man intro each time for all sixty something episodes.
And slightly off-topic, care to summarize why you hate Peter Parker?

See it sounds familiar but I can't really remember anything solid, I'll try to find it and get back to you once I do a rewatch.
I never skip the x-men intro, it's just too awesome, dun na na na na nun naaaa dun na na na na Na Naaaaa! doo doo... really doesn't translate well via text
I've always thought Peter Parker whined way too much. He was geeky and annoying. Plus i loath spiders and I'm sorry but I can't watch him websling without shuddering and going "ewww"

Yeah, it's worth watching even if you aren't a Spider-Man fan.
I liked how they played it with Spider-Man's theme as they fought together. T'was an interesting mix.
I view him more as a complex character who is struggling with juggling school, a job, a social life and being superhero and I love his one liners, but to each his own.

Personally i liked Nightcrawler (male) and Storm (female) out of the entire series....dont know why.I guess Nightcrawler was just so mysterious at first to me,and he was always my favorite in the X-Men arcade game.

I'm not quite sure. I haven't seen it in a while. But from the episodes that I own (on VHS) I would of liked to see more of Beast.

Looking back,i didnt like Beast that much but i think that all changed as i got older....i think they shouldve used Colososs (mispelled i know) or Dazzler

I'll have to watch it later on at some point.

The way they portrayed how Jean got to be Phoenix was again back then interesting but when u now the comic background, its 2 worlds apart.
