The day before I was set to leave, my mother was having a cow. Even though she was nipicking about the undergarments I left on the floor, I knew she was raging more out of concern. Upon packing a few essentials like a a few bottles of water and collecting my cash, I walked outside to get my dratini. I stepped outside into the pleaseant spring time sun and inhaled the fresh air before whistling out, " Come here bacon"! Out of the brush near the picket fence, came out a serpentine pokemon. Even though it was still a baby, it stood taller than me when it was erect.

After giving it a treat, I placed it in my pokeball and headed off to see the professor dude. Larger cities have a few of these scientists per district,but small little miniroot only had one, Doctor Oakley(original I know xD). The reason being partly to see if anyone else was setting off today,but more importantly I forgot to thank him for entrusting me with dratini's care.

Pool: I will.... *Takes the pokeball and speed walks outside, pokeball in hand* That guy was a creep... *shivers* Come on out, Nidoran. *Nidoran comes out of its pokeball* I'm Pool, and we're gonna be great friends.

wei walked out his house and stretched, today was a brand new day for him and the start of his pokemon adventure. He waved back at his mom who was out side crying like always, he just smirked and walked towards the pokemon lab.

He made his way inside to find a pokeball with his name on it. He slowly picked it up and tossed the pokeball and to his surprise a Bagon came out "Yes a Bagon!" he was lucky to get such a pokemon for his first one. He soon left the lab and seen a fellow trainer, He waved at him walking towards him, (bacon go xD)

Just before I reached the end of the stone path heading towards the street, my mummy came out yelling, " Did you pack you tighty whitey, son"?! My face lost all its color, " Uh yeap I got one, I won't have time to actually do laundry" I said while my voice quiver a bit out of embarrassment. After hugging her, I bid her adieu and made my way to the poke lab.

Outside I saw two fellows who looked familiar. One was talking to his nidoran and the other was directly waving to me. So I responded back by waving and said, " Hey there wei and polio, want to go to whatever we have to go.."?

Please don't figure out that I forgot the name of the next town.

Pool: Polio? That's so 1960's. Tokagen City, I think. I'm gonna stay back with Nidoran for a bit, I'm gonna travel solo. Wei, you and Fluff can chill.

[Sephiroth]

Wei waved at the fluff, "Ok Pool good luck on your journey and all." Wei nodded and looked over a the Fluff, "Yeah Lets start out journey, shall we?"

[Bacon]

"Indeed indeed brah, but can we make a pit stop to look for a pidgey or eevee? I always wanted a fluffy pokemon".

I woke up to my obnoxious Pidgey alarm clock on one bright and warm morning. I quickly jumped up out of bed and hushed the annoying piece of junk. Walking over to my window, I pushed open the curtains and looked outside. I took in a breath of fresh air and smiled. Today was the day; the day when I finally left on my Pokemon journey.

I've worked hard and studied like crazy to prepare myself. I know all there is to know about basic battling and medicine and food and whatnot. I was so ready, and excited to-boot. I quickly showered and got dressed, and then went downstairs to eat my final breakfast at home. As me and my family ate, we discussed my journey.

"Red, have you decided on which Pokemon you're going to get?" asked my mother.

"I have an idea," I said. Although I knew exactly what I wanted, I didn't want to jynx it being at the lab...pun intended.

"Wow, I can't believe you're leaving too!" said my father. "It seems like only yesterday that I left for my own Pokemon journey many years back...and I didn't do too shabby if I say so myself!"

"Top 48 in the League Conference!" I said, proud of my father's accomplishments. "And brother..."

"Yes," started Mom, "You're brother is a very esteemed Pokemon master-"

I quickly interrupted her. "An Elite Four at age 19!"

"We know."

"Well, I better get going to Professor Redwood's lab," I said, throwing my dirty plate away and my silverware in the sink. I grabbed my already-prepared backpack and headed for the door.

"We love you!" Mom and Dad said together. I turned around, and took my final look at them and my house. This would be the last time I would see it for a long time. I was finally growing up, becoming independent, and leaving for a journey in which I would make many friends and learn a lot about Pokemon, life, and many other things.

"I love you too..." I said, holding back a tear as I turned around and opened the door. I took my first steps out the door.

This was it...this was the start of my journey...to become the greatest Pokemon master of them all!

Trying not to be a bother, I asked the pie person, " do you has a map to uhm, what was the next town called again"? Now a bit nervous because of the awkwardness, I said, " oh nevermind dang it, are you going alone or staying behind for a while like polio"?

Wei looked at fluff and shook his head "umm fluff we new to get moving if we WANs make it by sunset" Wei said watching as fluff tried to make small talk with the girl named pie

Turning back to wie I said, " alrighty lez go". Do you want to take the mamby pamby route along the road or through the mountains, where a random hoeoh supposedly resides?

Wei looked at him a bit comfussed. "let's go through the moutains Maybe harder but we can train along the way"

Before leaving, I quick ran into the pokemart to grab a pack of pokeballs. Damn inflation makes me cringe when the sexy girl ringed up my total, 150 dollars.... Anyhow, I decided to give seph 5 balls before we headed out.

We both started off from the town's gates while waving bye to polio,pie. I felt bad that we didn't wait for redily,but we were running late as it is. After a a few minutes of walking down the road, we came across the main road,but we made a detour into the woods. To make up for lost time, we held a steady stride until we reach the first camp site. here there were portapotties which were maintained by our town's workers,but the current budget deficit left them largely unattended. But anyhow, the area was filled with tall trees with extensive canopies, so if it rained we would be somewhat dry anyhow. I turned to wei and said, " alrighty friend, I'm a look for an evee".

Professor: But I do have something. How would you like a Beldum.
D#1: The grass type?
Professor: No. That is a Bellossom. A Beldum is a steel/psychic type.
D#1: It sounds cool.
Professor: This one slightly strong than the standard starter. But since all the other trains have probably trained their starters. It should just put you on an equal level.

*Waking up in my house*
"Dad?" I said with morning breath and shaggy hair. "Dad?!" He was nowhere to be found. I road my bike down to the excavation site he works at. There was yellow tape around it all. "What happened!? Where's dad?"
"Khalil..." Officer Jenny said. "The site collapsed. But he left this for you" She gave me a fossil. "He said to bring it to Professor Oakley, one of his scientist may be able to turn it into a pokemon on some jurassic park chizz."

I went there and I did just so. Professor Oakley told me that this could be my new starter pokemon and gave me a pokedex. He gave me the ball in which it was in.
"Try it out." He said
"Ok." I choose you! A cranidos popped out. "Neat!" Then I was ready to start my journey as a pokemon master.

*Me and Blaze enter the pokemon center and purchase the pokeball 10 pack for 150 dollars and then we head off on our search for an Eevee*

Walking around with Cranidos, I notice a chimchar with a trainer.

Kid: Hey you, I'm gonna beast you up!
Pool: *Looks awkwardly at the kid in shades* Uhh, sure bro.
K: Don't take me lightly, I've got a Snivy! *throws his pokeball and a Snivy comes out*
Pool: Are you serious? Well... We're both betting ten dollars. Beat it down Nidoran. *throws pokeball and Nidoran comes out* Use Poison Sting! *Needles from Nidorans back tipped with poison fly at Snivy*
K: Use Leaf Tornado! *A grassy tornado hits the needles out of the way and flies at Nidoran*
Pool: *Nidoran takes the hit from Leaf tornado* It's not very effective, you idiot! Use rapid fire Poison sting Nidoran! *Multiple poison tipped needles fly at Snivy at a rapid pace and Snivy gets hit with all of them*
K: *Snivy faints* You got lucky, dude! *Hands me 10 bucks and runs off with his pokemon in hands*
Pool: Nice job Nidoran! We got lucky, though. His move wasn't very effective. But still, your killing it! *Nidoran returns with minor bruises and Pool continues walking*

*We notice a trainer and a Cranidos and we wave to them as head to the first route*
(in black and white pokemon centers sold items and the poke shops were removed)

Once I left the campsite, I saw a thing move in the bushes. So I grabbed my pokeball from my belt and threw it to release Dratini. I gave it's first command," use extreme speed to check the bushes'! Once this was done, something popped out of nowhere. It was a cute little fox thingy, wait it's an eevee! It was knocked up in the air by dratini's move,but it used attracted on it. Trying to think fast, I told dratini the following, " Use protect"! Unluckily for me,it was able to get my dratini under it's gaze. So I said, " use dragon rage"!

Still nothing, the eevee then used tackle on my dratini, sending it back into a nearby tree. It still had the goofy look on its face, like trainer like pokemon I guess. Thinking quickly, I threw a rock at my dratini and said, " use dragon rage"! Surely enough, the bong on the head was just enough to snap it out of its trance as it send powerful tornado at eevee.It flew around int he air momentarily,before hitting a branch. Now I grabbed one of my pokeballs to catch it.

I caught an eevee and was happy. But now dratini was exhausted and eevee was beaten up. I ran back to seph, mocking him because I found my pokemon first. :3

Pie: wow an Eevee and it's shiny ok Blaze use flamethrower
*Blaze released a powerful flame from it's mouth and it hit but Eevee then countered with quick attack knocking Blaze back a little*
Pie: It's strong ok use break break
*Eevee was charging with another quick attack but Blaze was able to time the hit knocking the Eevee to the ground*

Pie: I caught an Eevee and I'll name you Vee *while holding the pokeball*

*Cranidos Used Double Kick*
The mankey was unexpectedly kicked twice in the face. It flinched.
*Cranidos followed up with a headbutt*
*Mankey attacked back with fury swipes*
*Cranidos was scratched by fury swipes*
Me: Okay, that's enough.
*I throw a poke ball at it*
*Wiggles then stops*
Me: Yay Cranium, you have a new friend!

As I see fluff walk off I smile, "Lets see what i can find." I take the other path away from the camp and walked down a dirt road. I look around and in the tree. I come to an opening and see a pidgeotto feeding in the feild, "this is my chance" I thought as i threw my pokeball, "Go Bagon!"

Bagon appeared from the pokeball and he stretched out, "Now use dragon pulse!" Brago sent a pulse at the pokemon but it took off, the pokemon flew down and began to peck Bagon, "No, use Zen headbutt!" Bagon headbutted the pidgeotto, as it fall to teh ground. I toss a pokeball at it.

"Yes i caught it!" I return my Bagon and take my pokeball back to camp to show Fluffy.

Trainer: Halt, you can't pass unless you beat me! Go Charmander!
*Charmander came out*
Me: Cranium go
*Cranidos got out of its ball*
Trainer: Charmander use ember!
*Used ember*
Me: Use Headbutt and run into the ember, then hit his head
*Cranidos did just that and charmander was knocked on his tail*
Me: Now use rock tomb
*5 boulders fell on charmander and was knocked out*
Trainer:...
Me: I'll be taking 30 dollars and be on my way now.

I wake up to find that I overslept. "Damn, it's nine already?!" I quickly did my normal routine in the morning and then looked at my calander. "It's finally the day." I ran downstairs and grabbed a bag on my kitchen table that I put all my stuff in the night before. "Hey Dad! I'm off!" As I opened the front door a Sceptile stood in front of me, blocking the path. "Hey Sceptile! What are you doing?!" The Sceptile pointed to the back door in the kitchen. "Man, what does HE want?" The Sceptile headbutted me and I fell to the floor. "Ok! Ok! I'm going!"

A large man with greyish-brown hair and glasses on stood in the backyard with a hot cup of joe in one hand and a pokeball in the other. "Dad, what do you want? I was just about to set off on my pokemon journey!" My father had a glint in his eyes. "And how were you suppose to do that without a pokemon?" My face turned 2 different shades of red. "Well... I was just going to catch one myself." My father looked at me more seriously, but with a warm smile. "You need a pokemon to catch a pokemon. Of course I think you'll learn that soon enough. All I wanted to do was to give you this little guy before you set off."

My father toss the pokeball in the air and Treeko came out of it. "Is this a Treeko?" I asked my father. "Yes." he replied. "This is my Sceptile's son. Take good care of him. He has been trained a little by Sceptile, so he knows a few good moves. I feel as if you guys will really hit it off with each other." I croutched down to look at Treeko. The Treeko came up to me and then pounded me in the face with its tail. "Ow! That hurt!" I say with Treeko's tail mark imprinted across my face.

My father sat back and laughed. "See I told you! " My father took Treeko's pokeball and threw it at me. "Here, Catch!" Dispite the pain of Treeko's tail, I catch the pokeball, and it opens up, placing Treeko right back inside of it. "I put Treeko's moveset in your bag. Make sure you look at it. You'll probably lose in a battle if you don't look at it at least once."

I thanked my father and Sceptile and then started out on my journey.

Bagon appeared from the pokeball and he stretched out, "Now use dragon pulse!" Brago sent a pulse at the pokemon but it took off, the pokemon flew down and began to peck Bagon, "No, use Zen headbutt!" Bagon headbutted the pidgeotto, as it fall to teh ground. I toss a pokeball at it.

When I arrived at the camp, I find seph is nowhere to be found. Then from out of the the blue, he comes up with a silly smirk on his face as he brags about his pidgeotto. After we exchanged a few more words, we headed off to tokagen city. It turns out that the supposed ho oh was actually some dude dressed up in a disco suit, which happened to have neon lights along the seams. He explained to use that sometimes he likes to pretend he is a phoenix, what a hippy I thought.

Emerging from the woods in the nighttime, we thanked god for big city lights. They were so bright and exuberant, we could see them from a distance. When we emerged from the brush, we walked along the main highway. It was somewhat crowded, traffic was flowing at a constant. When we finally reached the inner city, I was amazed at the flurry of lights. What would be total near darkness at miniroot,was seemingly day time here. The flashing light, the rude people, and the sound of impatient drivers honking their horns made me a little dizzy...

[Sephiroth]

I look over at Fluff as we made it to the city, "finally here man." i say smileing, as we walked among the people of the city, "we should go to the pokemon center first, dont you think?" Wei asked as they walked around, the bright lights was hurting his eyes

[Bacon]

I told him, "Yea, that sounds like a good idea. I haven't snacked in hours". So I approached the big scary tattoo guy at the street corner and asked him if he knew where the pokecenter was. Mainly to see what wei would do.

[Sephiroth]

Wei stood there still, in shock surprised of Fluffs choice of people to ask for directions. Wei was just hopeing the man didn;t challenge them to a battle or somethin, but it happened, hopefully they would win

I snickered slightly at wei when he froze up momentarily. He was actually quite friendly and I knew it, that is because he was part of the anti-bully club. When I was on the computer one day, I saw an ad campaign for it.

Minutes later we arrived at the poke center, but I couldn't tell how seph felt. The recepionist behind the desk was so cute though, he hair was bit odd. It had two curved locks running down the sides. Her eyes were so kind and her body, well was perky to say the least. Despite being a nurse, she was still full of life. Even though I was red, I gave her my pokeballs,but hesitated because I didn't want to be made fun of for liking eevee. e.e

The Professor was closing the the door as Kai stuck his foot in the path and held it open looking the professor in the face with roaring eyes.
Kai: na ah doc! my jorney starts tonight!
the Professor looked at Kai's face and realized there was no way he would get him to leave.
Professor: ...I'm not a doctor you know but I do have the cure to your problem!
The Professor walked in to the lab for a few momments and came back with a black poke ball in his hand

Professor: well...a black poke ball is also known as a locker poke ball it can only be opened from the outside...this guy dosent have the best temper...
Kai grabbed the poke ball and realesed the pokemon inside it, it was a large bright red Trapinch, Kai looked at it and stared at the professor.

We arrive at the town and it's a huge place compared to miniroot.

Hikari gets up, picking up her already packed bags.
Cautiously she slips down stairs and posts a note on the fridge, a goodbye note to her mum.

She eats a quick breakfast, and is out the door, feeling freed and refreshed, but a little uncertain how far her job earnings would carry her.

"Hm, to that other city," she murmurs as her Piplup walks beside her. He liked the fresh air too.
Hikari stops and looks at her map. "this way" she points and begins to walk

[Rotate]

I wake up to find that I overslept. "Damn, it's nine already?!" I quickly did my normal routine in the morning and then looked at my calander. "It's finally the day." I ran downstairs and grabbed a bag on my kitchen table that I put all my stuff in the night before. "Hey Dad! I'm off!" As I opened the front door a Sceptile stood in front of me, blocking the path. "Hey Sceptile! What are you doing?!" The Sceptile pointed to the back door in the kitchen. "Man, what does HE want?" The Sceptile headbutted me and I fell to the floor. "Ok! Ok! I'm going!"

A large man with greyish-brown hair and glasses on stood in the backyard with a hot cup of joe in one hand and a pokeball in the other. "Dad, what do you want? I was just about to set off on my pokemon journey!" My father had a glint in his eyes. "And how were you suppose to do that without a pokemon?" My face turned 2 different shades of red. "Well... I was just going to catch one myself." My father looked at me more seriously, but with a warm smile. "You need a pokemon to catch a pokemon. Of course I think you'll learn that soon enough. All I wanted to do was to give you this little guy before you set off."

My father toss the pokeball in the air and Treeko came out of it. "Is this a Treeko?" I asked my father. "Yes." he replied. "This is my Sceptile's son. Take good care of him. He has been trained a little by Sceptile, so he knows a few good moves. I feel as if you guys will really hit it off with each other." I croutched down to look at Treeko. The Treeko came up to me and then pounded me in the face with its tail. "Ow! That hurt!" I say with Treeko's tail mark imprinted across my face.

My father sat back and laughed. "See I told you! " My father took Treeko's pokeball and threw it at me. "Here, Catch!" Dispite the pain of Treeko's tail, I catch the pokeball, and it opens up, placing Treeko right back inside of it. "I put Treeko's moveset in your bag. Make sure you look at it. You'll probably lose in a battle if you don't look at it at least once."

I thanked my father and Sceptile and then started out on my journey.


As I started heading out to the forest right outside of MiniRoot Town, I took out the notes my father had given me on Treeko's moveset. "Hmm...looks like Sceptile trained him well...not that I would expect any less." I put the list away and took out my map. "Well it seems that as long as I stay on the trail I should be fine. It shouldn't take anymore than an hour."

I walked along the trail and a crabish type pokemon walks across the path. "Is that a krabby? What's that doing in the forest?!" I reached in my bag and found 5 empty pokeballs attached to a note.

"Use these to catch wild pokemon. You can't have more than 6 pokemon at a time. Any caught pokemon while you have a full party will be transferred back to the house.

P.S. Make sure you catch a lot of grass pokemon, they make great gardeners."

"Uh...thanks Dad...I think." I grab one of the pokeballs and throw it at the Krabby. It bounces off of it skull and does nothing but make it mad. "Uh-oh. That must be a trainers Krabby...in that case. I pick up the pokeball I threw at Krabby, and take out another one. "Treeko, come on out!" Treeko comes out of it's pokeball and wacks me in the back of its tail. "Ouch!!! Would you stop doing that?!" Treeko shrugged and got in a battling stance. "Ok Treeko! Use Agility!" Treeko runs in a full sprint around Krabby, constantly getting faster and faster until it looks like there is just a ring of green light encircling Krabby.

Krabby starts to look confused without its trainer around and starts to flail about, trying to get out of the ring. "Ok, Treeko use rock tomb!" Treeko smashes his tail into the ground and rocks fly up into the air while Treeko continually rings around krabby. "Treeko finish up rock tomb by swatting the rocks in the air with your tail." The green ring dissappears and rocks go flying at krabby, almost crushing it under the pressure.

A trainer rushes out of the bushes and sees an orange spot in the pile of rocks. "KRABBY!"

I look down at Treeko. "Maybe we went a little overboard with that." Treeko shrugged, almost as if it was barely a workout and went back inside of it's pokeball. While the trainer was trying to dig his krabby out from underneath the rocks I made a quick getaway down the path. "Man, I could've gotten in serious trouble for that." I look up and see a sign. "Cool, the next city is just 5 minutes away."

Kai walked alone towards the town exit and looked at the poke ball
Kai: well...maybe he'll behave now and im going to need him if im going to catch the pokemon I want...so might as well
Kai removed the poke ball from the belt with 6 slots that was attached to his bag and threw it at the ground.
Kai: Go Trapinch.
the ball opened up and Trapinch was standing infront of Kai staring at him and growling.
Trapinch: Trarrrrr
Trapinch jumped at Kai trying to bite him agian but Kai dodged and kept walking
Kai: you wont get me agian with that you know, I understand that you dont like being inside the poke ball and if i keep getting far from you you'll be automaticly pulled back so you're better of folowing me right?
Kai stopped and looked at Trapinch.

Trapinch growled at Kai but eventually walked towards him and stood next to him.
Kai: now thats better isnt it?

Kai: ha ha....one step at a time I guess
Kai and Trapinch walked out of the town in to the forest route between the towns,Kai stopped an opened his bag to look at the map and noticed a noise in the trees above him.
Kai: hmm finally, Trapinch get ready I'm gonna need you for this

Trapinch stood next to Kai without moving as the tree above them began to shake and out of it jumped a mankey and turned to look at Kai and Trapinch
it couldnt run away becuase of Trapinch's special ability and become very angry punching his chest and screaming.
Kai: well no point waiting for it to atack us now is there? go Trapinch use bite!
Trapinch growled in frustration for having to take orders but atacked the maneky anyway dealing some damage and knocking the mankey back and making maneky flinch in pain.
Kai: now I only want to weaken him a littel bit more! use faint attack to knock him back one more time and then I'll catch it!

Trapinch ran towards maneky and attacked him with faint atack causing a just enough damage to make maneky catch able and then Kai took one of the poke balls from his bag and threw it at maneky!
Kai: Go! Poke ball!
the maneky was sucked in to the pokeball which shook violently on the ground but stopped after a few seconds
Ting...Ting
Kai: heck yeah I caught a maneky!

Kai was walking through the forest as he heard a voice come from his right.
young trainer: Stop right there trainer! I want to fight you.
Kai looked around and realized the young kid was talking to him.
Kai: huh my first trainer battel...I was expecting it to be with a littel more then a kid...but what ever.
young trainer: dont underestimate me! GO Sparky!
the young trainer threw a pokeball at the ground and out of it spawned a Pikachu.
Kai: no way you have a Pikachu kid?! thats so awesome!...well pikachu are electric so Maneky wont be much good agiasnt this one and he's hurt anyway so...
Kai looked over at Trapinch that was standing next to him.
Kai: feel like taking this one?
Trapinch: Trarrr...
Kai: you really need to learn to comunicate better...
Trapinch stepped in front of Kai and face Pikachu.
Kai: so kid what are the rules for this things, 30 bucks to who ever wins?
young trainer: you mean to me! Go sparky attack with Thunder Shock!
pikachu clenched its fists and sent out a burst of electrsity hitting Trapinch but causing littel damage because Trapinch was a pure ground type
Kai: alright Trapinch you took that well now lets use send attack!
Trapinch used sand atack and a shrouding of sand covered the arena.
young trainer: Now pikachu use quick attack!
Pikachu ran at Trapinch and attempted to strike him down but missed becuase of the sand.
Kai: now Trapinch use bite!
Trapinch quickly ran towards pikachu and attacked him with bite causing it meduim damage.
young trainer: darn it! pikachu use Thunder Shock again!
Pikachu used another thunder shock causing Trapinch a littel more damage but not enough to cause him to slow down or flinch.
Kai: Now Trapinch lets finish this! use faint attack.
Trapinch attacked pikachu with faint atack knocking him out
young trainer: no...pikachu
The young trainer called pikachu back in to his poke ball as Kai walked up to him
Kai: dont sweat it kid it was a really good fight i bet that it was anything but this Trapinch you would have won
Kai took his prize money from the trainer and walked away heading for the next town.
Kai: I'll see you agian when I get back I bet you'll beat me then!
young trainer: you bet I will.!

On the day of my journey, my step-mother bids me farewell, thankful that she finally is rid of what she thought was a burden. I couldn't care less. with both my parents deaths, I had to go through most my life with that cruel woman. My only brother is well on his way to being a great pokemon trainer, and now i want to catch up to him. so I head out to the professors house to retrieve the pokemon that has been my only companian throughout most of my life. All of the other kids played with eachother, not even noticing me. Of course, people knew who i was, but they never approached me, because I was apparently tabooed or something. I am happy to be leaving.
As i reach proffesor warren's lab, i begin to get excited. Finally, I will be able to join my brother as a great pokemon trainer. I walk through the door and my heart sinks.

prof.warren: "I'm sorry, Dai, but we have no more pokemon."

Me: "what!?" I nearly fall to the ground.
prof.warren: the professor gets a wondering look in his eyes. "of course, there is one pokemon that I think I MIGHT have kept, just for you. now where did i put it?" the professor searches his pockets and pulls out a lone pokeball.

me: as soon as I see the pokeball, I know who is in it. "Blitz!" I grab the pokemon, thank the professor, and run out of the lab, ready to begin my journey.

[nine tailed fury]

As I walk through the woods, I turn and see Miniroot town shrinking behind me. I am excited, and I finally realized that I haven't let my pokemon out of its pokeball at all yet.

me: alright, blitz, come on out! *releases my pokemon*
blitz: blitzle!
me: sorry for not letting you out sooner. i was just excited to leave home. but guess what. your coming WITH me!
blitz: blitzle!
me: our first stop? um.........
blitz: bltizle.......
me: yes i know where I'm going! *takes out a map* um....... i think our first stop is...... backtrack city? no, thats not it....... tokagen city! alright, off to tokagen city for my first gym badge!
blitz: blitzle!
me: lets go! *starts walking with blitz*

I hear a rustling in the bushes and yell "who's there!? well!?" and out comes a pidgey. I smile and reach inside my pocket. unfortunately, i found out too late that i forgot to BUY pokeballs. "oh, damn it...... blitz, use thunder wave on that pidgey!"
blitz: blitzle uses thunder wave and manages to paralyze it slightly.
me: alright, now use discharge to take it out quickly!
blitz: blizle uses discharge, and with the pidgey paralyzed, it cant get out of the way fast enough, causing a hit.
pidgey: *faints*
me: "good job, blitz. I knew you could do it. flying types have a natural disadvantage over electric types. now lets head back to Miniroot town and get some pokeballs." and with that, me and blitzle start walking back to Miniroot town, a place of despair for me, but also a place of great hope.

[nine tailed fury]

As I re-enter Miniroot town, i think about going to my old house, but decide against it. instead, i merely go to the pokemart with blitzle, buy a pack of pokeballs (and give the cashier 150$), and head back on my journey.

Me and blitz get about as far away from town as we got last time when something suddenly hits blitz.

I yell "blitz!" and look around until i spot a very severly pissed off pidgey. the same pidgey from before. blitz realizes that we are under attack and prepares himself for an order. I yell, "blitz, just like last time! use thunder wave!" and blitz does it. unfortunately, the pidgey had learned from its mistakes and was able to dodge it. "darn it. ok, then. new plan." I see the pidgey charge at blitz with what looks like wing attack, so i wait for it to get close. "now! dodge it then use stomp!" and blitz succeeds in doing just that. "before it recovers from that, use thunder wave!". blitz doesnt have much time to react, but he manages to use it and hit the pidgey, paralyzing it. i yell "alright, now you've got it! discharge now!" and blitz hits the pidgey with discharge. I smile. "my turn." i reach into my pocket and this time pull out a pokeball, throw it, then wait for the results. It wobbles once. twice. thrice. CAUGHT! "yea! we caught a pidgey!" i said "we" because without blitzle, i wouldnt have been able to catch anything. and with that, i call out my pidgey, and me, blitz, and my new friend nicknamed feathers walk off to tokagen city once again.

Part 2:

I headed down the main road towards the Professor's laboratory. As I walked, I came across many Pokemon trainers, some of them new like I am. I wondered if they had already chosen their Pokemon. I just hoped they didn't choose the one I wanted. The walk was very bittersweet. This would be the last time I would be walking through the town for quite a long time. However, I was moving on to bigger and better things.

As I reached the lab, I noticed a really cute girl walking out. Of course, my first instinct was to greet her.

"Hey!" I said.

"Oh, hello!" she said, a little surprised. "Are you a new trainer?"

"Yeah, are you?" I asked.

"Well, sort of. This is my first Pokemon. I want to learn to be a Professor though! That's why I've been apprenticing at the lab, studying. But before that I have to be a trainer and battle like everyone else!"

"That's cool!" I said. She was really nice.

"Well, I should probably get going, I have a lot to learn," she said, a bit said.

"Yeah, I should probably go get my own Pokemon. Well, I'll see ya around hopefully!"

"Of course!" She smiled. "Bye!"

"Bye!" I said. We went our separate ways, and I walked into the Professor's lab. I saw a sign pointing new trainers upstairs, so I followed.

"Oh, Red!" Professor Redwood exclaimed upon reaching the top of the stairs. "Here for a Pokemon I presume?"

"Morning, Professor!" I said. "And yes, I am."

"Well, take your pick, don't be shy!" Professor Redwood pointed me to a table covered in Poke-balls. I was sure of which one I wanted, after a lot of long and difficult thinking.

"I'll take....Charmander!" I yelled, grabbing the appropriate Poke-ball with style.

"Good choice! This Charmander's friendly and passionate personality matches your own! Go ahead, take him out!"

"Alright, come on out Charmander!" I pressed the button on the Poke-ball, bringing the small fire-type Pokemon out.

"Char char!" it said, smiling.

"Are you my new friend?" I asked, chucking.

"Char char char!!!" he said, clinging to my leg.

"He's already taken a liking to you!" The Professor said. "Well here's your Pokedex and 10 Poke-balls. Your Pokedex is high class and has been updated with all the latest information and such, so there's no need for worrying. Have a fun and safe journey! Good luck! By the way, the 10 Pokeballs are 150 Poke-dollars. I'm like a middleman PokeMart."

I handed the professor 150 Poke-dollars. "Thank you Professor! Is it okay if I keep Charmander out of his Poke-ball?"

"If that's what you want, feel free!"

"Okay, thanks, bye!" I said, as me and Charmander headed for Togaken City, the next stop on our journey.

Part 3:

As Charmander and I walked around, I found out about his abilities the old-fashioned way; guess and check. After a while, I found out his ability of Blaze and his moves of Flamethrower, Overheat, Dig, and Slash. I did get a bit crispier though...but hey it was worth it!

I noticed a few Pokemon outside of their Pokeballs other than my own Charmander, but they were all trainer's Pokemon. I wanted to find a wild one to catch..And lo and behold, a wild Lillipup appeared!

"Go Charmander! Use Overheat!!" I said, and Charmander attacked the wild Lillipup. However...it was knocked out in one hit. Maybe I shouldn't of used my strongest attack first... I thought. Oh well.

We continued down the path, and that's when I saw an injured little Pidgey on the ground next to the road. I walked up to the little bird and saw that it must of hurt it's wing! The little thing was crying. However, my Mom got me this little Poke-medicine kit and I was able to help the little guy. It's only good once, but I couldn't leave it alone.

"Pi-Pi!" The bird Pokemon said, in gratitude.

"Don't worry about it, little guy!" I said, smiling. The bird began to peck at my Pokeballs in my sweatshirt.

"Wait...you wanna come along as our friend?" I asked it. It nodded yes. Charmander was happy too! "Well, then, get in!" I threw a Pokeball at the Pidgey and it got inside. It twitched once, and then clicked.

"I caught...a Pidgey!" I said, striking a little pose. I put it in my sweatshirt next to Charmander's Pokeball. "Looks like we got ourselves another friend, Charmander!"

"Char char!!"

"Look! There's Togaken City!" I said pointing forward. We were almost there..but there was one more challenge waiting in store for us...

Part 4:

As we neared Togaken city, some other guy my age ran out into the middle of the road.

"HEY YOU!" he said. "I'm Mike. I'm the best new trainer in the town."

"That's so great..." I said, sarcastically.

"Well, want me to prove it?" he snobbishly asked.

"A battle?" I was a little apprehensive. I mean, I never battled before. I've watched famous battles and stuff like that, but never have I actually battled myself.

"Well? Or are you too chicken..."

"Okay, geez!" I said. "Fine, what are the terms?"

"2 on 2. First person to knock out the other person's Pokemon wins! There's no judge, but don't worry, I play fair!"

"Okay, deal! Let's go...I'll start with Pidgey!" I send Pidgey flying out of his Pokeball, landing on the ground before me.

"Okay, let's go Meinfoo!"

"You do know that you have a type disadvantage, right?" I said.

"I don't care! Meinfoo, use Force Palm!!" Mienfoo jumped towards Pidgey.

"Pidgey, dodge it, and use Air Slash!!" Pidgey flew up avoiding Mienfoo's attack, and then slashed through the air at his opponent. Mienfoo was knocked down.

"Alright then! Mienfoo, use Hi-Jump Kick!" Mienfoo jumped high in the air towards Pidgey.

"Pidgey, fly up higher!!!" Pidgey did so, causing Hi-Jump Kick to miss. "Follow Mienfoo down and use Steel Wing!" Mienfoo came down to the ground with a crash, hurting it. Pidgey came right behind him and used Steel Wing, knocking him out!

"Mienfoo!!!" Mike yelped. "Okay, fine, you're not gonna win this though! Let's go, Elekid!!!" He send out the electric Pokemon in style. "Elekid, use Discharge!"

"Pidgey, dodge!" I screamed, but it was too late. Pidgey took a direct hit. However, Pidgey still hung in there. "Okay, Pidgey, use Steel Wing!!" Pidgey headed straight for Elekid.

"Elekid, ThunderPunch!" and Pidgey was sent flying through the air with a static shock. Pidgey was unable to battle any longer.

"Good job, Pidgey! You did great!" I said, as it went back into it's Pokeball. "Alright, Charmander, let's do this!" Charmander hastily entered the battle.

"Elekid, use Quick Attack!"

"Charmander, use Dig!"

Charmander dug into the ground, avoiding Elekid's attack. Charmander burst through the ground below Elekid, sending him into the air. However, Elekid got right back up to fight.

"Elekid, use ThunderPunch!" Elekid sent a static punch directly for Charmander.

"Dodge Charmander!" But Charmander took the punch, and it sent him backwards. He was okay though. I then noticed Elekid was standing right behind the hole Charmander made via Dig, while Charmander was standing right behind the other hole.

"Charmander, use Flamethrower into the ground!" Mike was confused, but then realized his mistake when Elekid was hit by a stream of flames from the ground, giving Charmander, and in turn me, the battle.

"Lucky," he said. "Who are you?"

"I'm Red."

"Well, Red, you're just a lucky little guy. Don't expect ever to beat me again." Mike said, and he left. That's when I heard some rustling in nearby bushes.

"Wow, I didn't expect you to be that good!" a girl said. I turned around to see the girl from before.

"Wait..you were...what?" I said, confused.

"I was studying your battle. I wanted to do a bit of research...my name's Courtney, by the way. So you're Red?"

"Yep! And don't worry, I'm just happy I won!"

"You were really good!" She said, smiling. "You know, I don't feel like traveling all alone. I mean, I've never really left on a journey all by myself..."

"Me neither...would you like to join me?" I asked, taking her hint.

"I'd love to!!!" Crystal said, and we began the final stretch to Togaken City together. On the way, she told me about how she got her own two Pokemon, like me, getting one, her Turtwig, from Professor Redwood and the other, Lillipup, from the wild. We had some interesting conversation, and then finally we saw the sign.

We made it to Togaken City!

"hurry up, you guys!", i say as i barely see tokagen city in the distance. blitz and feathers were being lazy, so i had a plan. "whoever beats me to tokagen city will be allowed to take a rest in their pokeballs." that got them moving, and blitz dashed as fast as he could with feathers flying right behind him. realizing that a small stampede was right behind me, i ran like hell!

As Kai and Trapinch walked out of the dense forest they found themselves on a grassy road leading to a big gate that says on top "Tokagen City " . Kai: Finally I was thinking we'ed never get there.
Kai and Trapinch started walking the grassy path towards the city gate when they heard an approaching noise behind them, they both turned around and saw a boy with two pokemon runing after him.
Kai: um...are those yours or are they trying to kill you?...wait is that Dai!?
Kai recognized the boy from his hometown and realized he had started his journy at the same time he did Kai realized it was just Dai playing with his pokemon and crossed the gate to Tokagen City.

----It was 3:12 pm. It had been a few days since the other kids had left town to start their journeys. Voca was the only one who hadn't left. It didn't really affect her because she didn't have any friends in the town, but it still made her feel really left out. Today, however, her parents had decided she could leave on her own journey. Well, really, her mom did, her step-father just sat on the couch watching sports all day like usual.


"Now honey make sure you pack everything you need!" Mother had said. "I know. Clothes.....food..money...games.." "Okay go before all the pet thingies are gone!" Voca looked at the clock and headed out the door. "Bye mom!" Her mother called out as she walked down the street, "Oh! Get a boyfriend while you're gone! I want grandkids!" As the girl walked she realized something. Had her mom always had that raspy, manly deep voice?

--Making it to the lab, she knocked on the door and crept inside when there was no answer "H-Hello? Professor?" Voca called out in her low voice. She heard a crash and went to check it, carefully. She saw the professor scrambling to put videotapes of sorts back into a box. "O-Oh hello there child! What'dya want?" He said, his tone changing quickly.

"...I uh...came to pick up my starter..." She said quietly."Oh lord, another one? Look, all I had left was a Magikarp that I had for dinner last night. And some steamed Oddish with barbeque sauce. Mmmm..." He said, mouth watering. She looked down in disappointment. "Oh...." The Prof. was snapped out of his thoughts when she started walking away. "...Well.....there is this one Pokemon left that I've been using as a sla-I mean helper.." He went into the back and came back out with a Pokeball. "This Eevee thing. Ya want it?" "O-oh really?!" "Yeah yeah, take it." He handed it to her and she stared at the Pokemon inside. "Oh thank you Professor!" He chuckled, "Don't mention it. Although..." he said slowly, putting a hand on her shoulder, "there is something you can do for me..." Voca could've sworn the room got darker. And was that lightning all of a sudden? Weird. The Pokeball started to shake vigorously and the Eevee had a horrified expression on her face. "Oh...uh, I should get going before it gets dark bye!" And with that the girl ran out of the lab. The Professor just stood there, disappointed. "Aww...I needed help making brownies..."

Voca stopped at the PokeMart to buy some Pokeballs. She got the 10 pack for $150 and left.

"Well, here goes my first step out of town..." And she did exactly that....and tripped over a rock immediately afterwards. "Ow.." Eevee, who had been outside of her Pokeball, started laughing at the girl. "Why me..?"

She got up and continued on her way to Tokagen City. After walking for a few minutes, something flew over her head.

"Mien!" It was a wild Mienfoo. When Voca turned to look at it, she squealed. Well, it sounded more like a car using the emergency break to stop, but it was a squeal. "It's so..cute! I want it! Go Eevee!"

"You craaazy? I've got a type disadvantage against a Fighting-type!" Eevee said, but since she could only speak in Pokemonspeak it just came out as a bunch of jibberish.

"Ok! Use Shadow Ba-" As Eevee started to form the Shadow Ball, the wild Mienfoo caught it off-guard with a Fake-Out. "Oooh! Um...Use Swift!" The fox Pokemon used said move, hitting the ermine with stars.

It got up and started running towards Eevee, jumping in the air for a High Jump Kick. "Detect Detect!" Eevee's eyes started glowing and it barely dodged the attack, causing the Mienfoo to crash into a tree. "Uh I think a throw a Pokeball now.." Voca threw a Pokeball at the wounded Mienfoo.

As Voca picked up the Pokeball, a tune played out of nowhere. Da da da, dadadaaaa! "...Where's that music coming from? Well, I think I caught it...whatever this Pokemon is.....I'mma call you Mileena!" And so, another victim became part of her journey.

After more minutes, Voca had gotten back to Miniroot to heal her Pokemon, and she left right after. After even MORE minutes, she made it past the point she had been at before.

"So you were in a lab?" Mileena asked Eevee. "Yes! It was horrible! The professor did...things...." "...Like?" "Pet me in a way that messed up my fur, gave me food tha tasted like crap, and...and..he didn't brush me!" ".............oi." Mileena facepalmed. To Voca, though it was just a bunch of weird squeaking and yapping noises. "Wow...Pokemon are really loud."

From behind a tree some kid popped out. "Ey there ho, how 'bout you an I-" "Not interested." "Gurl if I beat you in a fight I'll do whatev I'll want to ya, and I ain't losin to no ho." He threw a Pokeball and a Scraggy came out. "Mileena?"

"Fake-Out!" Mileena made teh first move and used FO, surprising Scraggy and causing it to flinch. "Okay now uh U-Turn!" The Stoat Pokemon charged at the Scraggy and bounced off, landing behind Eevee. "What? I ain't even gone yet!" "But you took too long to attack.."

"Eminem get it with some Payback!" Scraggy lifted his arms up and a purple force appeared around him, blasting off and hitting Eevee. "Ah! Uh uh um Swift!" Starts apeared around Eevee and flew at Scraggy, knocking it back. "Aw nah! Eminem can't be out! I'll get back at ya next time!" He put Scraggy back into it's ball and ran off.

"My first battle? Cool. Huh?" She saw the guy's wallet on the ground. She looked around and picked it up, finding $15 in it. "Man, no cash? What a Scrub." She quickly jammed it into her own wallet and ran off before the white wanna-be gangster realized he had left his behind.

It was sunset, and Voca had finally made it to Tokagen City. "Thank god, I'm scared of the dark..." and with that she walked into the city.

It was the night before Sunday and all through the land, the villagers prepared for the performance of the band. The songs sound throughout the skies, as the children of the village said their goodbyes. For a villager or two would leave in the morn, villagers which whom, 13 years ago, they were born. The moon went across the sky of night, and all slept until the rise of daylight.

----The Next Morning: Sunday, 11:30 AM----

"Aaron," yelled a woman, "Wake up already. Aren't you starting your journey today? Aaron, AARON!"

A young girl awoke from her sleep, walking out of the room next to Aaron's, "Mom, would you quiet down, I'm trying to sleep."

"It's 11:30 in the morning, you're asleep too?" asked the mother.

"Well, judging by you being up this early in the morning, and just noticing, I'm guessing that you slept until now too," replied the girl.

"Well, yeah, but you are 12 years old, you should be awake before now, Erica," responded the mom.

"If my mom can wake up at 11:30 in the morning on a Sunday, why can't her daughter?" Erica said with a confused look.

"Okay okay," began the mom, "It doesn't matter now. Why isn't your brother waking up, he's a light sleeper. He should have woken up by now."

"I don't know why you're asking me," Erica answered, "I'm going back to bed," she said as she walked back into her room.

The mom then walked into Aaron's room only to see he wasn't there, and spoke to herself, "Where the hell is he?" After asking herself that, the woman went back down the stairs, and to the kitchen, where she saw a note on the refrigerator door.

As she was about to read the note, Erica ran down the stairs with a pokeball in her hands, "Mommy, mommy, Aaron left me a gift."

The mother looked at the Pokeball and read the attached note that said, "For my sister: I know how much you like turtles, so I got you this Squirtle. I hope you enjoy having him as much as I enjoyed secretly raising him for you. Whether you use him as a pet or become a Pokemon trainer too one day, enjoy yourself. I love you sis. -Aaron Zobrist."

"Just like Aaron," the mother began, "Always thinking of his sister and no one else. Well Erica, I guess this is yours. Go have some fun if you want, I have a note from your brother to read."

Erica smiled and nodded as she went outside with her new Squirtle, and the mother began to read the note on the fridge.

I said goodbye enough last night. I'll be gone when you wake up.
Don't follow me, I'll come back someday to say hey and whatnot.
Emotional goodbyes are not for me, but take care of Erica.
Oh, and I guess you can take care too.
I did leave a couple hundred dollars behind. Buy some food.

"Damn kid," said the woman now known as Sarah, "Never can say anything nice unless it's for Erica. If only he treated everyone else half as well as he does her. Then he has the guts to call me by my first name. He's such a pain in the ass," she said as she crumbled the piece of paper and threw it on the ground. She then walked a couple more steps and spoke again, "But I'm going to miss him. What is he going to do without that Pokemon anyways? That was his only one."

The front door flew open as Mrs. Zobrist jumped in shock, before a man started screaming, "Sarah, where the hell is your son, Aaron?"

"Oh, Professor Davis," Mrs. Zobrist began, "He already left. Left a note on the door this morning, and that was all I've heard from him."

"That kid," Professor Davis stated with frustration, "I already gave him a Squirtle when he was 8. Why did he have to go and take another one of my Pokemon? That kid is so selfish, having two Pokemon now."

"Well, that's a relief," Mrs. Zobrist sighed.

"How is that a relief?" Professor Davis screamed, "I'm out a Pokemon because of your son."

Mrs. Zobrist chuckled, "It's a relief because, Aaron left his Squirtle with Erica as a gift."

"Well, that was pretty nice. That's fine and all, but why did he have to take that Pokemon? That pokemon wasn't a starter Pokemon," Professor Davis in a lower tone.

"Oh," Mrs. Zobrist began, "And which pokemon was that?"

"He took my Absol," Professor Davis answered, "That was a rare and powerful Pokemon, and he decided that was the Pokemon that he wanted. He could have taken a Charmander, or a Bulbasaur, but no, he took my Absol."

"That's just like Aaron," Mrs. Zobrist laughed.

Professor Davis sighed, "Yeah, you're right. Nothing I can do about it now other than hope he keeps my Absol safe."

"I don't believe that will be a problem at all, Professor Davis," Mrs. Zobrist responded, "He is a smart kid."

Professor Davis nodded, and walked back out the door.

Mrs. Zobrist stared at the ceiling and thought to herself again, "Oh Aaron, such a troublemaker. Stay safe, my son."

----Forest between MiniRoot Town and Tokagen City, Sunday, 11:45 AM----

Walking through a forest path, Aaron was on his way to Tokagen City, while he spoke to himself, "I bet at this moment, my mom and Professor Davis are talking about how much of a pain in the ass I am. They should have known I wouldn't leave without causing trouble. Oh well, I have this Absol now, and Erica has a trustworthy Squirtle that has been specially trained to be loyal to her. All is good."

"Yo Aaron," a familiar voice yelled out from behind the trees. Aaron got a little frustrated look in his face before smiling like he was happy, when the boy spoke to him, "Hey Aaron, what's up? You ready to start on your journey?"

"No Kalvin," Aaron replied, "I'm not. That's why I'm out here walking to Tokagen City right now. Your parents seriously had to drop you on the head for you not to realize something so painfully obvious."

"Still a smartass, I see," Kalvin responded, "Oh well, I guess I walked right into that one. Hey, since we are already on our way, do you want to have a practice battle?" he asked as he called out his Swablu.

Aaron took a look at Kalvin and turned around, walking away, "No, not really. I don't plan on fighting until I get some Pokeballs, and then that will be to capture wild Pokemon, specifically an Eevee."

Kalvin called his Swablu back and spoke back, "Oh, come on Aaron, just one battle before."

"Geeze," Aaron began, "I said I don't want to yet. I'd rather keep my Pokemon healthy in case I run into any wild Pokemon or enemy trainers."

Kalvin replied, "Well, you do make a good point. Alright, then do you mind if I walk with you?"

"I'd prefer it if you didn't," Aaron responded, "I like to be alone."

Kalvin backed up, "Oh, alright then," he said. Aaron continued walking toward Tokagen City, as Kalvin walked about 100 feet behind him, in the same direction.

---- Home, MiniRoot Town, Saturday, 8:13 AM ----

It's a beautiful Saturday morning and I, Devroux Alter, am kicking back on the couch at home, watching Saturday morning cartoons like I do every weekend while my mom, Cathleen Alter, makes breakfast for me.

"Dev," Cathleen calls from the kitchen, where she often spends her time. "Breakfast is almost ready, hun."

"Thanks, mom," I say, before getting up and stretching my arms out over my head. "I'll be back in a little while." Before she can say anything, I grab my backpack and run out the door, leaving her to finish cooking all alone.

Professor Davis lives just down the street and his lab is filled with pokemon that, when done right, is filled with the taking. It's early and that lazy ass is probably still sleeping.

---- Professor Davis' Lab, MiniRoot Town, Saturday, 8:24 AM----

MiniRoot Town is pretty small, so it only takes a few minutes to get to Professor Davis' Lab from my house and, as expected, the lights are off, meaning that Prof. Davis is still at home, being his lazy ass self and giving me the perfect opportunity to take my time and pick out a good pokemon

I take myself around to the back of the lab so no one catches me sneaking in. Taking a small strip of metal out of my backpack I slide it in the crack of the window, wiggling it around for a few seconds, before I hear the click of the lock swing back, letting me know that I'm now free to enter.

Taking a glance to my right and left to check for anyone, I quickly pull open the window and slide into the dark lab, being as quick and quiet as possible in hopes of getting in and out without any trouble.

Carefully, although sightly rushed, I make my way around the room with my hand on the wall, feeling the entire way for the light switch. It doesn't take long before I feel the cold, plastic switch and flip it, brightening the room.

As soon as the lights go on, my mouth dries up. I've been in this room many times before, but the sight always gets me. The room is filled with pokeballs, wall-to-wall. Professor Davis, a long time collector of pokemon, has filled this room with every type of pokemon known to man. They're all for my taking now, too.

Starting in the A's and working my way down, I quickly and thoroughly check all the nametags, weighing the pros and cons of each pokemon hidden within.

Poliwags, Poochyena, Tailow, there's all kinds of pokemon and a lot of them are kind of boring. Even with over 600 pokemon to sort through, I easily narrow down my choices of what I want to just a few in about 15 minutes.

I set the pokeballs on the floor and sit down next to them, weighing the pros, cons, and awesomeness of each pokemon. They all have the potential to be really amazing, but I need a pokemon that'll start me off without too much trouble.

*click*

The front door of the lab opens near soundlessly, but in the quiet that I had been sitting, it's like a bomb went off in my ear. I drop the pokeballs and they scatter as I jump to shut off the light.

"That baseball game last night was pretty interesting," I here the Professor say. I check my watch, which now says 8:43 AM, and curse to myself over the fact that this guy is up really early.

I soundlessly run to my backpack, hiking it up over my shoulder, and grab the nearest pokeball to me. I narrowed down my choices pretty well, so whatever this pokemon happens to be, it's probably a good one. I'll just have to deal with what I get.

The Professor's footsteps can be heard as he goes into his office and gets closer. My heart begins to beat a little faster and I run back to the window, which still hangs open.

I carelessly shove the pokeball into my backpack before tossing it out the window and sliding after it. Turning back, I shut the window just as the light in the room turns on. Quickly, I duck beneath the window and grab my backpack.

As quickly as possible, I follow the side of the building around the corner before straightening up and sprinting back towards home.

---- Home, MiniRoot Town, Saturday, 9:12 AM ----

*slam*

I shut the door loudly behind me as I run in, out of breath, barely an hour after I left.

"Hey, honey," Cathleen calls from the kitchen. Although way later, she's still cooking.

"Hey," I say back as I walk by on my way to my room. I grab the doorknob and twist, pushing the door inward and letting myself into the room.

The room is of average size and houses the necessities, such as a PC, bed, clock, and game system. My hang out place isn't going to be my hang out place for very much longer.

Tossing my backpack onto my desk, I leap onto my bed, feeling the soft landing and closing my eyes as I rest my head on the pillow. I woke up rather early this morning, so a nap sounds good.

As I drift to sleep I think about the pokemon that's potentially in the pokeball and how I'm going to break it to my mom that I'm going to be leaving on a long journey sometime soon.

Not much goes though my head before everything just goes blank.

---- Home, MiniRoot Town, Saturday, 6:49 PM ----

"Honey," I hear my mom shout from down the hall. She seems edgy, so I quickly roll out of bed, still fully clothed from earlier, and make my way out to the living room.

The house is lit just as usual, but when I walk out into the living room, I'm not only looking at my mother, but Professor Davis as well. Situations like this are never fun.

"Well hello," Davis says to me, smirking.

"Hey Professor," I respond.

"I was just dropping by to see if you knew anything about the lab break in earlier. Do you?"

"Nah. I've been here pretty much all day."

"Well, the lab was broken into earlier. A pokeball was stolen with a pretty rare pokemon. If you hear anything, let me know. We'd like to get that back as soon as possible." He says it as if he knew I was the one that took it, which got my heart pumping a bit.

"Will do, Professor."

Professor Davis leans forward and stands up, heading for the door. He opens it and turns around, smiling at me, before heading out and shutting the door behind himself.

Mom turns to me and says, "That's horrible! I can't believe someone would use Professor Davis like that! He's such a nice man."

I simply nod to mom as I walk back towards my room. It's early, but late enough for bed. I might as well rest up for tomorrow. I have a long day ahead of me.

---- Home, MiniRoot Town, Sunday, 11:11 AM ----

I slept in a little today, but still managed to wake up before my mother. It's weird though. She never sleeps in. However, it gives me time to right her a note and get out.

Dear Mom,

I'm going to be a pokemon trainer with Aaron. I'll be back sometime, so keep cooking.

Leaving the note on the stove, where she's most likely to find it, I make my way over the the front door, taking one last look at my home, before walking out towards the Zobrist household.

---- Zobrist Household, MiniRoot Town, Sunday 11:38 AM ----

I reach the Zobrist home and am reaching for the doorknob when the door opens by itself to reveal a slightly ticked off Professor Davis.

"Good morning," I tell him.

"Hmph," he grunts in reply, frowning at me and walking by. He's NOT in a good mood.

I walk in and sit down with Mrs. Zobrist saying, "Good morning," to her.

Sarah Zobrist is a much nicer lady than the grumpy Professor Davis and responds pleasantly, with another "good morning" in reply.

"Where's Aaron," I ask her. Aaron's a good friend of mine, but he's so time concious, like leaving is important.

"He's already gone," she tells me, slightly coldly.

"That ass," I scream. "Why does he always leave without me!?"

Hiking my backpack up further onto my shoulders, I run out of the Zobrist home, heading for the path leading to the next city.

---- Forest between MiniRoot Town and Tokagen City, Sunday, 11:49 AM ----

A short while into my run I pass a kid known as Kalvin, and can see Aaron just a little bit further ahead. Rather than run up to him at the moment, I take this time to slow down and catch my breath, so I can at least keep up the act as if I were somewhat on time.

Aaron heard footsteps behind him, and turned around, "Seriously Kalvin, didn't I just say, oh," he paused, "It's just you Dev. You look like you've been running or something. Why the hell are you so late?"

[Devroux]

"Yeap, it's me," I say, still breathing pretty heavy. "I'm late because Professor Davis and the alarm and aliens, but it's no big deal, I'm here now, you're safe." I chuckle a little before jogging up next to Aaron in order to walk side-by-side with him.

[Maikeru D. Shinigami]

"Yeah, I don't care. Did I ask you why it took you so long?" Aaron asked, "At least think of an excuse that doesn't suck Mankey ass."

[Devroux]

"Unlike you, my excuses are the only things that suck mankey ass," I growl back.

[Maikeru D. Shinigami]

"Lame," Aaron says as he gets close to the end of the path, "Oh look, it's a sign that says Tokagen City. This must be that city where that gym is at."

[Devroux]

"What makes you think that, Captain Obvious," I ask in a joking sarcastic tone. "Let's just go get some pokeballs so we can do what we need to do."

-I wake up early in the morning to a picture of my long dead father. Today was the day to start my pokemon journey. So I could make him proud. I walk downstairs to my moms happy greeting, as she hands me a backpack and a pokemon belt. She directs me off towards the lab, to receive my pokemon. I had always wanted to get a squirtle, so I had my mind set on that. As I walked through the double doors, I walked up to the professor, asking if I could receive one. He said no. I was shocked and confused. In this moment of confusion, I asked why. And it soon became clear. My father who had raised his trusty companion garchomp from an egg, had been a close friend to the professor. He became terminally ill with cancer, so he gave an egg to the professor, saying that he wished he could have done it himself, and given me my first pokemon. However, that was a mere dream to him. So he entrusted the professor to give me it when the time came. However, the egg had hatched since the time he had passed. So the professor directed me to a back room, where a pokeball sat, seals of darkness and light attached. He opened the pokeball, and in a flash of black and white storm clouds, a gibble emerged, looking happy and dumbfounded as ever. I held back my tears as he said this would be your partner from now on, as he handed me the pokeball, and gibble attached himself to my shoulder. He then told me it would be best to head to tokagen town, to get experience and become the best pokemon trainer I could be. So with that, I ran out of the lab, gibble attached, and headed through the forest between the two towns. After a short run, I emerged out of the forest, standing at the gate to tokegen town. In awe, I proceeded to enter.
